MWC is a joint venture between Glanbia Nutritionals, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) and Select Milk Producers Inc. (Select).\nJob Summary\nOversees Plate Washer, Boxmaker, Closer and Tube Liner Inserter. Maintain areas to provide quality packaging for 640 # blocks.\nEssential Functions\nVacuum Sealer:\nEnsure vacuum pumps are on and vacuum sealers are enabled.\nClose vacuum sealers as soon as they have four fresh boxes.\nPlace clean slip sheet on cheese and fold bag, after vacuum sealers.\nPlace bottom boards and irons on boxes (reject any damaged components).\nCheck Tosca iron legs on the leg jig to ensure they fit the 640 box correctly.\nEnsure boxes don't sit in one place for too long, to prevent a jam.\nFix any jams in your area.\nContact Level 3 immediately when you can't fix a jam.\nEnsure environmental cleaning is done and signed off by the end of each shift.\nLog Delvocid lot code onto the delvocid tracking log sheet each time the sprayer is filled.\nFoam area when not in production.\nInspect each block for any foreign material ex. Plastic, excessive peppers, other color cheese etc.\nKeeps records in accordance with good manufacturing process and local and state laws.\nBoxmaker/Breakdown/640 Front End/640 Back End:\nGeneral knowledge of components (Arena, Tosca and Kraft).\nGeneral knowledge of banding machine operation and cleaning.\nInspect each box for correct assembly.\nKeep a supply of 640# boxes on line at all times (10-20 boxes).\nContact VR or ATL when banding machine is not operational.\nIdentify bad components and reject them.\nAssemble boxes by hand when banding machine is down.\nEnsure environmental cleaning is done and signed off by the end of each shift.\nTower preparation for CIP.\nTower Cleaning.\nRefill and thread plastic wrap on machine.\nFill Station:\nRun all fill station operations (Calibrate scales, insert angles etc.).\nRun all Dry Ice Operations (Calibrate Hoppers, dose blocks, log weights etc.).\nInspect each block for foreign material ex. Plastic, metal, excessive peppers, other color cheese etc.\nPerform metal detector test.\nPerform DI magnet inspections.\nMust be able to work HMI.\nFill out all log sheets for area.\nLoad and select vacuum chambers.\nPerform CIP on 640 fill line and VC 1-7\nFoam Fill Station area.\nStartup Fill area.\nGeneral housekeeping and at end of your shift check your area and clean up.\nUtilizes GPS processes, driving zero losses and upholds the culture of MWC non-negotiables.\nTube Liner Inserter:\nPlace a blue tube liner in each box after it gets made and cheese cloth on baseplate.\nUse dolly squaring tool to check for bent tabs when running Arena.\nKeep liners stocked.\nDo not use any damaged or dirty liners.\nAssist the angle washer operator when necessary. \nEnsure environmental cleaning is done and signed off by the end of each shift.\nPlate Washer:\nSpray all plates, use scrub brush and HC10 on them.\nEnsure all cleaning and chemical sanitizing mixing procedures are followed.\nEach base plate has a clean cheese cloth if put on at that station if not at the angle station.\nAfter each cheesecloth is placed on the base plate.\nEnsure environmental cleaning is done and signed off by the end of each shift.\nAssist the angle washer/tube liner operator when needed.\nUtilizes GPS processes, driving zero losses and upholds the culture of MWC non-negotiables\nDelivering on Glanbia’s Values:\n“Showing Respect” - Research issues & incidents with internal teams, business partners and customers in a collaborative manner that includes professional, honest and transparent communication.\n“Find a Better Way” - Work with internal and external teams to implement process improvements and/or procedural changes that eliminate non-value added activities and drive more business value.\n“Winning Together” - Assist with training of new team members.
