Providing direction and leadership to their team as necessary. As the Production Supervisor you will be expect to accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.\nThis role is Supervisor on Shift D - 6:30PM to 7:30 AM, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.\nEssential Functions\nSupervises and directs operation to best meet production requirements.\nResponsible and accountable for the quality, efficiency, productivity and safety of the shift.\nResponsible and accountable for the overall productivity of the shift.\nResponsible and accountable to follow production schedule.\nDirectly supervises the successful startup of first batches as necessary.\nResponsible and accountable for the enforcement of all company policies, SOPs, FDA regulations and cGMPs.\nResponsible and accountable for setting up the next shift to ensure a smooth shift change\nAudits equipment cleaning and document in log books.\nAccurately audits completed batch records and makes necessary corrections.\nRecommends changes to batch records to reduce errors, improve efficiency, etc.\nCompletes work orders as needed and records equipment problems which could not be corrected.\nCompletes worker related accident forms.\nPerforms and documents accident investigations as necessary.\nRecords ideas for productivity improvements and other matters of importance and shares them with management as appropriate.\nComprehensive knowledge of the department's paperwork including:Which batch records are required for each operation\nHow each batch record must be filled out\n\nHas well established work habits that can be used to set an example for the workforce.\nParticipates in hiring new employees for their shift.\nPerforms and documents new employee training in a timely manner. Selects relevant topics and performs and documents ongoing training.\nEvaluates individual job performance and recommends promotion, re-training or discipline as appropriate.\nDelegates work assignments to efficiently operate the shift.\nAssists in employee attendance record keeping (time cards, attendance sheets, etc.). \nInteracts and communicates with all shifts in a professional and productive manner.\nInteracts and communicates with other departments (Maintenance, Warehouse, etc.) in a professional and productive manner.\nEstablishes a good working relationship between shifts. \nPerforms special assignments as needed.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in a technical field (Operations Management, Engineering, etc.)\nMinimum of 3 years as a successful supervisor in a similar manufacturing environment.\nGeneral Knowledge of the food manufacturing process.\nBasic math knowledge to include percent yields.\nAble to multi task and bring tasks to closure.\nDemonstrated mechanical skills.\nDemonstrated problem solving skills.\nExcellent attention to detail skills.\nMust be a “hands-on” “team-player” leader who leads by example.
