About the Role:

Glean is seeking a Lead Salesforce Developer - Revenue Systems to provide hands-on technical leadership for our Salesforce platform and revenue systems. You will own the technical design, development, integration, scalability, security, and reliability of Salesforce solutions supporting Sales, Revenue Operations, Partnerships, Finance, and other critical business processes.

This is a hands-on engineering leadership role where you will continue to design and build solutions while also establishing engineering standards, leading technical decisions, reviewing code, mentoring developers, and improving the overall Salesforce development practice.

You will: 

• Own the technical architecture and delivery of Salesforce solutions across lead, account, contact, opportunity, partner, and revenue workflows.
• Design scalable Salesforce solutions spanning data models, automation, custom development, integrations, security, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain custom Salesforce functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.
• Evaluate business requirements and determine the appropriate configuration versus custom-development approach.
• Build reusable, scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce components and frameworks.
• Design, develop, and support integrations between Salesforce and third-party applications using REST, SOAP, middleware, platform APIs, and event-driven integration patterns.
• Establish reliable data synchronization patterns covering field mapping, integration keys, duplicate prevention, idempotency, error handling, retries, monitoring, and alerting.
• Troubleshoot complex integration failures, data synchronization issues, API-related problems, and platform defects.
• Lead technical discovery, solution design, estimation, implementation planning, and delivery for Salesforce initiatives.
• Conduct architecture reviews, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
• Define and enforce Salesforce engineering standards and best practices across coding, testing, security, documentation, version control, and release management.
• Mentor Salesforce developers and administrators and provide technical guidance on complex technical problems.
• Define and maintain Salesforce environment and sandbox strategies and support CI/CD and automated deployment practices.
• Lead Salesforce deployment planning, validation, rollback planning, and production readiness reviews.
• Establish appropriate unit, integration, regression, and deployment validation testing practices.
• Investigate complex Salesforce defects, integration failures, data issues, performance problems, and security concerns.
• Lead root-cause analysis for production incidents and implement durable solutions to recurring issues.
• Develop and maintain operational runbooks, troubleshooting documentation, and technical documentation.
• Partner with Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, Marketing, Partnerships, IT, Security, and other business teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide technical input into roadmap planning, prioritization, vendor evaluations, and platform governance.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve user experience, increase automation, and maximize the value of Salesforce.
• Contribute to the long-term architecture and technical strategy of Glean's revenue systems ecosystem.

About you:

• 7-10+ years of Salesforce development experience, including significant experience with enterprise Salesforce implementations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flow, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including data modeling, object relationships, security and sharing, profiles, permission sets, access controls, automation, governor limits, performance optimization, and deployment architecture.
• Proven experience designing and troubleshooting REST and SOAP integrations.
• Experience working with middleware or integration platforms and enterprise application integrations.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, error handling, retries, monitoring, observability, and data synchronization.
• Experience with Git and structured CI/CD or Salesforce release-management practices.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests and deployment validation processes.
• Experience leading technical design, architecture reviews, code reviews, and engineering standards.
• Strong production support, debugging, incident management, and root-cause analysis experience.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and influence technical decisions.
• Strong stakeholder-management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

This role is hybrid (4 days a week in our Bengaluru office)
