The role ensures residents have access to meaningful, person-centred activities that promote social engagement, physical and mental wellbeing, and overall quality of life. The Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, will act as the main point of contact for wellbeing provision within the home.\nWhat We Offer (Terms and Conditions apply to our benefits and perks)\nHastee Pay - withdraw up to 40% of your earned salary before payday whenever you want\n28 days holiday (including bank holidays), and 1 extra day’s holiday for every year of service up to a maximum of 5 additional days.\nLife Insurance cover of £10,000\nPension Scheme \nAutomatic entry into our Employee Assistance Programme offering: Personal and everyday advice on child support, financial advice, mental health, health and wellbeing\nBlue Light Card Reimbursement \nA supportive and friendly working environment\nOpportunities for professional development and further training.\nThe chance to make a real difference to the lives of residents by supporting their wellbeing and quality of life.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the design and implementation of a varied programme of activities and wellbeing initiatives tailored to the individual needs, preferences, and abilities of residents.\nCoordinate and deliver group and one-to-one sessions, including creative arts, reminiscence therapy, music, games, gentle exercise, and community outings.\nEncourage resident engagement and promote independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of wellbeing.\nWork closely with residents, families, and care staff to understand individual life stories and develop personalised activity plans.\nOrganise and celebrate events, seasonal activities, and special occasions within the home. \nBuild positive relationships with external organisations, entertainers, and community groups to enhance the activities programme. \nMonitor, record, and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, maintaining accurate documentation in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.\nPromote health and wellbeing through movement and exercise sessions, where qualified, and support colleagues in delivering safe, enjoyable physical activity.\nQualifications & Experience\nEssential\nStrong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.\nCreative, energetic, and person-centred approach to planning activities.\nDesirable\nNAPA Level 2 or 3, Award in Supporting Activity Provision in Social Care, or willingness to work towards this\nExperience working in a care home or similar setting, supporting older people and/or those living with dementia.\nLevel 2 Seated Dance & Exercise Leader (Activcare) or a recognised exercise-related qualification\nExperience supervising or coordinating a team\nKnowledge of dementia care best practices \nFirst aid training\nAbout Halmer Court\nSituated in the charming market town of Spalding, Halmer Court care home stands as a testament to thoughtful design, catering exquisitely to the needs of older individuals desiring a serene retirement setting.\nThe home comprises 61 spacious single rooms, each equipped with en-suite facilities, with some rooms also offering access to private balconies.
