This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.\nYou will be a member of the Mission Intelligence (MI) team supporting a variety of data engineering, analysis, and automation efforts.\nThe MI team maintains a business intelligence platform supporting data-driven decisions in the enterprise.\nYour primary responsibility will be to ensure the availability of this mission-essential platform.\nYou will also contribute to the MI team as a software engineer and analytic developer where you will design, develop, and integrate solutions involving the analysis of large data sets to establish mission cognizance and deliver mission-centric insights.\nResponsibilities:\nIncrementally incorporate site reliability engineering principles into the existing operational platform.\nMaintain and advance a mission-essential business intelligence platform.\nElicit requirements from stakeholders, gather and analyze available data, and develop solutions for delivering key metrics.\nDevelop analytics to combine, normalize, and enrich large data sets.\nDesign and implement ETL workflows to convert and normalize data.\nAugment the platform with new tools or technologies.\nProvide guidance to more junior software engineers and data scientists.\nCommunicate clearly through written documentation.\nKey Requirements:\nTo be considered for this position you must have the following:\nPossess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance. \nU.S. Citizenship.\nProfessional/Education experience: 12 years & Bachelors of Science Degree, or 4 additional years in place of a BS Degree. \nWorks well independently as well as on a team. \nStrong communication skills. \nRequired Skills:\nStrong customer service mindset.\nProduction-grade software development experience in Java and Python.\nExperience or familiarity with site reliability engineering (SRE) principles.\nFamiliarity with customer authentication and authorization platforms and standards.\nExperience with productizing software as containers and deployment with Docker/Kubernetes.\nConfidence with Git and Gitlab for software version control.\nConfidence with basic to intermediate Linux System Administration tasks.\nWillingness to contribute to internal and customer-facing written documentation.\nDesired Skills:\nFamiliarity with Apache NiFi.\nFamiliarity with Elasticsearch and Kibana. \nFamiliarity with Kubernetes.\nKnowledge of map-reduce analytic environments (e.g., Hadoop).\nKnowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems.\nExperience with production CNO capabilities and operations.\nExperience with frontend UI development.\nLocation: Laurel, MD (onsite full time)\nSalary Range: The salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 to $280,000. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications.
