This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.\nThe Work:\nProvide a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates the microservices of a modernized operational system utilizing cutting edge technologies. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for:\nDuties:\nDeveloping Infrastructure As Code and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools. Popular programming languages for DevOps engineers include Python, Ansible, and Terraform.\nExperience patching, hardening, and maintaining compliance of RHEL\nInstall, configure, and provide performance tuning utilizing: Kubernetes, Docker Compose, Nifi, and cloud native logging and metrics collection tools.\nManaging CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code utilizing GitLab runners and Argo CD.\nManaging commercial cloud computing platforms (AWS).\nCommunication and collaboration: DevOps is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.\nThe position allows little to no work from home and will require a significant portion or all work to be performed in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).\nKey Requirements:\nTo be considered for this position you must have the following:\nPossess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance. \nU.S. Citizenship.\nProfessional/Education experience: 12 years & Bachelors of Science Degree, or 10 years & Masters Degree, or 14 years & Associates Degree, or 16 years & High School Diploma\nCurrent Security+CE certificate.\nWorks well independently as well as on a team. \nStrong communication skills. \nDesired Skills:\nDesign, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including but not limited to EC2, Lambdas, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, Step Functions using Terraform and auto scaling.\nUnderstanding of AWS networking principles to include VPCs, NATs, IP Gateway.\nDevelop and manage Gitlab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes\nCollaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.\nTroubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptime\nKubernetes experience with a focus on EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate\nLocation: Annapolis Junction, MD\nSalary Range: The salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 to $280,000. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications.
