This position will conduct volunteer outreach and recruitment, volunteer scheduling, support with volunteer recognition initiatives and events, and contribute to the design and implementation of new programsand initiatives. This individual will help the department increase the number of volunteers at GLIDE, increase volunteer retentionand repeat volunteerism, and support Community Service volunteers to acquirenew skills and access pathways to employment. This position is expected to be onsite Monday through Friday 9 AM - 5:30 PM and work at major events and holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. There will be occasional work needed on evenings, weekends, and early mornings.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nGreet and steward volunteers arriving and departing for their shifts.\nSchedule and conduct virtual and in-person orientations, as well as debriefs, for individuals and groups.\nConduct group presentations, administer workshops, and facilitate groups.\nLiaise with internal departments to add new volunteer opportunities.\nSupport the recruitment, retention, and success of all volunteers at GLIDE across multiple programs.\nSupport with the design, development and administration of GLIDE’s group Service-Learning Programming; contribute to the creation of new materials, curriculum, workshop content, and marketing materials.\nDevelop relationships with referring partners such as schools, city government departments, community-based organizations, universities, and companies.\nSupport with the development and implementation of volunteer appreciation and recognition initiatives and/or events.\nConduct research on corporate giving programs and in-kind donation programs.\nParticipate in committees for special events, holiday activities, fundraisers, etc.\nAttend off-site volunteer recruitment events, deliver off-site presentations, represent GLIDE at external meetings, and conduct outreach such as tabling at events.\nRespond to incoming voicemail and email inquiries regarding volunteer opportunities.\nCoordinate and process in-kind donations.\nUse Salesforce and volunteer CRM to track volunteer hours and create reports, support data entry/collection, review data for accuracy, and track programmatic impact via KPI’s and impact reports.\nMinimum Qualifications\n2+ years of experience working in a non-profit, education, or social impact organizationrequired.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills required.\nPreviousexperience working with volunteers such as volunteer coordination, recruitment, and schedulinghighly desired.\nExperience in a front-facing role working with large groups, such as delivering presentations, facilitatingworkshops, planning/executing group events, etc.required.\nExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work productively with frequent interruptions.\nWorks well under pressure, excellent organizational skillswith the ability to multi-task.\nDemonstrated ability to work well with a diverse community,includingvolunteerswho are unhousedorpreviously incarcerated,middleand high school students, families, and corporate employees.\nProficiencyusing MS Officerequired, withexperience using a CRM, preferablySalesforce, ideal.\nPhysical Requirements\nReasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nAbility to work on a computer and see details of objects at closerange. \nAbility to hear within normalrange, and communicate effectively (in person, telephoneor Zoom). \nFinger dexterity and the ability to use all standard office equipment. \nSit or stand comfortably;and the ability to navigate throughout office spaces (via elevator or stairs).","description_format":"text","description_chars":3861,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":2,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Education","Government","Health Care"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-28T08:52:45Z"}],"liveness":{"score":16,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.464,"p_room":0.35,"age_days":34,"expected_fill_days":13,"reasons":["conf:0","win:tail","comp:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-10-01T05:45:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":62000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/glide-volunteer-program-coordinator","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/glide-volunteer-program-coordinator.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-02T02:31:00Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3376,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":1624,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-03T00:00:00Z"}}}
