This role ensures systems comply with DoD cybersecurity requirements, STIGs, and organizational security policies, performing vulnerability assessments, applying security controls, implementing corrective actions, and supporting continuous monitoring efforts.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform system hardening activities in accordance with DoD security requirements and industry best practices\nImplement and maintain STIGs on servers, workstations, and networked systems\nConduct vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool\nAnalyze vulnerability scan results and identify required remediation actions\nRemediate security findings through configuration changes, system updates, and vendor-issued patches\nApply security patches and updates to both Windows and Linux operating systems\nSupport compliance with cybersecurity directives, policies, standards, and security management guidance\nMaintain documentation related to system security configurations, vulnerability remediation efforts, and compliance activities\nCollaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and security teams to implement corrective actions and improve security posture\nAssist with cybersecurity inspections, audits, assessments, and accreditation support activities\nSupport continuous monitoring and risk management efforts to ensure ongoing compliance\nTrack, manage, and report vulnerability remediation status to leadership and stakeholders\nMandatory Skills:\nMust be a US Citizen due to government requirement\nActive DoD Secret clearance\nBachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent (4 years of cybersecurity experience accepted in lieu of degree)\nCurrent IAT Level II Baseline Certification\nMinimum 5 years of full-time professional experience in system hardening and cybersecurity engineering, including:\nSTIG implementation\nVulnerability assessments utilizing ACAS\nSecurity management policies, directives, and
