stakeholders.\nThe Role\nFacilities Operations\nLead and oversee the day-to-day facilities operations across the school campus, ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment.\nManage, coach, and develop the facilities team, including housekeeping, maintenance, landscaping, and contracted service providers, ensuring high standards of performance and professionalism.\nPrepare work schedules and allocate resources to ensure efficient delivery of facilities services.\nConduct regular inspections of the campus to identify maintenance requirements and operational improvements.\nOversee the maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, water supply, generators, lifts, and other critical infrastructure.\nEnsure preventative and corrective maintenance programmes are implemented effectively.\nMaintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of the school premises in accordance with established standards.\nHealth, Safety & Compliance\nSupport and uphold the school's health and safety policies, safeguarding requirements, and statutory compliance obligations.\nConduct regular health and safety inspections, risk assessments, and compliance audits across the campus.\nEnsure all facilities operate in accordance with local regulations, fire safety requirements, environmental standards, and school policies.\nMaintain accurate records relating to statutory inspections, maintenance activities, permits, and compliance documentation.\nInvestigate facilities-related incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.\nPromote a strong culture of safety, wellbeing, and operational excellence across the school.\nCampus Maintenance & Asset Management\nOversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance programmes for all campus assets.\nManage building repairs, refurbishment projects, and minor capital works with minimal disruption to school operations.\nMaintain an accurate asset register and monitor the lifecycle of facilities equipment and infrastructure.\nEnsure classrooms, offices, laboratories, sports facilities, boarding (where applicable), and common areas remain fully operational and fit for purpose.\nMonitor utility consumption and implement initiatives to improve energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.\nContractor & Vendor Management\nManage external contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual agreements.\nOversee procurement of facilities-related goods and services, ensuring value for money and compliance with school procurement policies.\nMonitor contractor performance through regular reviews and service level agreements (SLAs).\nEnsure all contractors comply with safeguarding, health and safety, and site access procedures.\nMaintain accurate contractor documentation, certifications, and compliance records.\nEmergency Preparedness & Business Continuity\nCoordinate facilities support during medical emergencies, fire evacuations, lockdowns, severe weather events, utility failures, and other critical incidents.\nSupport the development, implementation, and regular review of the school's Emergency Response and Business Continuity Plans.\nParticipate in emergency drills, campus risk assessments, and crisis management planning.\nLiaise with emergency services, utility providers, regulatory authorities, and external agencies as required.\nPrepare incident reports and maintain comprehensive facilities documentation.\nSecurity & Campus Services\nWork closely with the Security Manager to ensure effective campus security measures, access control, CCTV systems, and visitor management processes are maintained.\nOversee housekeeping, waste management, pest control, landscaping, and other campus support services.\nEnsure all campus facilities contribute to a safe, secure, and welcoming learning environment.\nMonitor parking areas, pedestrian routes, signage, and campus infrastructure to ensure safe movement across the site.\nSchool Events & Operational Support\nCoordinate facilities support for examinations, school productions, sporting fixtures, open days, graduation ceremonies, parent events, and other school activities.\nEnsure venues are prepared, equipment is operational, and facilities services are delivered efficiently for all events.\nSupport logistics planning, room setups, furniture movement, and operational requirements for school functions.\nEnsure all school activities are supported with appropriate facilities and maintenance services.\nBudget & Resource Management\nPrepare and manage the annual facilities budget, ensuring effective cost control and financial accountability.\nMonitor expenditure, approve invoices, and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.\nSupport capital expenditure planning, facilities improvement projects, and long-term asset management strategies.\nEnsure appropriate inventory management for maintenance materials, consumables, and equipment.\nStakeholder Engagement & Team Leadership\nBuild positive working relationships with students, parents, staff, contractors, suppliers, and external agencies.\nDeliver a professional, responsive, and customer-focused facilities service to the entire school community.\nConduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews for facilities Operations Management, or a related discipline is desirable, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in facilities, building operations, or property management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. \nPrevious experience in an international school, educational institution, hospitality, healthcare, commercial real estate, or corporate environment is preferred, with proven expertise in managing maintenance, MEP systems, HVAC, housekeeping, landscaping, and preventive maintenance programmes. \nStrong knowledge of health & safety, fire safety, statutory compliance, risk management, emergency response, safeguarding, and business continuity, with First Aid and Fire Safety certification being desirable. \nDemonstrated experience in managing contractors, vendors, service providers, facilities budgets, asset management, maintenance management systems (CMMS), and campus infrastructure to ensure efficient and compliant operations. \nFamiliarity with security operations, including CCTV, access control, visitor management systems, and coordinating with security teams to maintain a safe and secure campus environment. \nExcellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and facilities management software, and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and school events when
