This role ensures the system supports business and IT service processes efficiently, aligns with ITIL standards, and enables continuous improvement across GBS operations.\nROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:\nConfiguration & Customisation:\nDesign, configure, and maintain Jira Service Management workflows, fields, forms, and automation rules.\nDevelop and maintain business rules, scripts, and APIs to support process automation and integration.\nIntegrate Jira Service Management with other enterprise tools and systems through APIs.\nEnsure platform stability, security, and compliance with organizational policies.\nOperations & Process Management:\nCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\nAdminister user accounts, roles, and permissions within JSM.\nImplement and support ITIL-based processes: Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.\nOversee and manage the incident management process within the ITSM platform.\nManage change control processes, ensuring updates are documented, tested, and deployed with minimal disruption.\nEnsure that changes are documented, tested, and implemented with minimal disruption.\nMaintain accurate IT asset data and track hardware and software lifecycle using Jira’s asset management capabilities.\nReporting & Continuous Improvement:\nAnalyse data to identify trends and recommend process or system improvements.\nProvide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.\nEnsure platform security, stability, and compliance.\nProvide user support, guidance, and training on Jira Service Management features\nPromote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the GBS support service.\nESSENTIAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant experience in related field.\nDemonstrable experience administering or developing within JSM or other ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, FreshWork) or similar.\nStrong understanding of ITIL processes and ITSM best practices.\nStrong technical skills around API’s and related automation.\nKnowledge of AI Tools, Framework, governance, and ITSM best practices and industry standards.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.\nEffective stakeholder and solution management.\nDESIRABLE SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:\nITIL Foundation Certification, Atlassian Certified Professional, Jira Certified Developer.\nWHAT WE OFFER:\nSalary dependent on experience\n25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holiday\n1-day extra leave per year of service, up to a maximum of 5 days\nWorkplace pension scheme\nTuition reimbursement for career development courses\nFlexible Benefits: Cycle to Work, Workplace Nursery, Tech scheme and much more\nPerks@Work discounts platform, wellbeing centre and much more\nReward and recognition programme\n£500 award employee referral scheme\nDiscretionary annual performance bonus\n\"I joined GBS in 2025 at a pivotal time in its journey towards excellence.
