We are looking for candidates to have excellent communication skills, to ensure they can build strong relationships with the team and wider departments. We will work with you to ensure you are provided the tools and support to help you be successful in the role.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nStaff payroll and Zero Hour payments\nAccurately collect and correctly process all payroll data and in accordance with our set payroll processes and guidelines \nCapture all payroll errors and issues, identify root causes and work with stakeholders to implement solutions to minimize errors going forward \nRespond to payroll queries raised by staff and zero hours. \nNew processes and projects\nSupport the Payroll function to implement changes in UK legislation into the Group, working towards improving our In-House payroll and internal departments as required \nEmbed a continuous improvement culture \nHMRC compliance and reporting\nRespond to HMRC queries and undertake preparatory work for HMRC dispensations; communicating HMRC matters to the business as required \nFinancial accounts data and audits\nSupport in the preparation of data analysis and reports for month end and year end reporting \nResolve reconciling items arising from the monthly balance sheet reconciliations \nOther duties\nAbility to priorities workload around conflicting deadlines \nAbility to assist the development of the department, being innovative and looking at new way to improve our service \nHow success will be measured:\nMinimal errors and delays in processing, checking and approving data and preparing reports \nAbility to work as a team player and build effective relationship with internal departments and third parties \nAll key processes are clearly documented (and updated regularly) \nAccurate and timely reports provide assurance that all payroll payments and processes are correct \nAll issues are logged and proactively used to identify and fix root causes \nAll payroll reconciling items are resolved by the following month \nAny audits (HRMC, Internal or External Audits) confirm we are compliant with legislation \nEvidence of embedding a continuous improvement culture such as time saving, reduction in errors or more streamlined processes \nWhat we’re looking for\nWe can’t live without:\nExperience of working with both In House & Outsourced payment function with multiple payrolls \nGood understanding of UK payroll legislation and the ability to incorporate changes into the business \nAbility to multitask and work to strict deadlines under pressure \nStrong attention to detail and analytical skills \nAbility to accomplish expected tasks under minimal supervision \nHighly organized with a natural ability to prioritize \nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\n\nWe would love you to have:\nFamiliar with pension schemes and benefits \nExperience of Unit 4 / Agresso Payroll, Financial and HR module \nExperience of processing multi business units UK staff payroll
