Reporting to the Head of Outdoor Digital Service Management, you will support infrastructure across the UK and Ireland, including London’s TfL travel network.\nAs aDigital Infrastructure Engineer at Global, you will:\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop digital infrastructure: Document existing capabilities and business requirements, then implement new and improved digital infrastructure in line with agreed designs, standards and protocols.\nResolve incidents and problems: Take ownership of third-line incidents through to resolution, coordinating with external suppliers where needed. Identify recurring issues, establish root causes and workarounds, and deliver or support permanent fixes.\nManage change and deployment: Raise, plan, implement and review changes in line with agreed processes. Work closely with project, technology and on-site installation teams to deliver safe, reliable end-to-end deployments.\nSupport operational teams: Provide technical expertise to first-line teams, particularly during live incidents and deployments, and maintain clear, useful documentation that supports effective service delivery.\nDeliver out-of-hours works: Take technical responsibility for planned installations and operational activities, including regular overnight work, ensuring delivery is safe, correct and to the required standard.\n\nWhat You’ll Love About This Role\nThink Big: Help shape the digital infrastructure behind Outdoor advertising across the UK and Ireland.\nOwn It: Take responsibility for technical delivery, service improvements and resolving issues that matter.\nKeep it Simple: Turn defined designs and processes into practical, dependable solutions.\nBetter Together: Partner with project teams, suppliers, installers and colleagues across Global to deliver great outcomes.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nIn your first few months, you’ll have:\nBuilt a strong understanding of Global’s core Outdoor digital infrastructure and key documentation.\nAchieved the required Sentinel certification for safe working on the railway.\nBecome confident using core applications, including the relevant content management system.\nDeveloped an understanding of IP schemas, connectivity relationships and project requirements.\nContributed improvements to team documentation and resolved common incident types independently.\nWhat You’ll Need\nInfrastructure experience: Experience supporting Windows desktop and server environments, Linux operating systems and core infrastructure technologies such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP(S), IIS or Apache.\nNetwork and remote support skills: Confidence using remote management tools, networking technologies and scripting tools such as PowerShell to diagnose and resolve issues.\nTechnical delivery: Experience implementing technical solutions, integrating off-the-shelf products and supporting small to medium-sized technical projects.\nService management: Experience working with an IT service management tool and within an ITIL-aligned environment, including incident, problem and change management.\nDigital platform knowledge: Experience supporting digital advertising, digital signage or a comparable content management platform in a live environment.\nCollaborative approach: Able to work effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues, suppliers and customer-facing teams, prioritising work according to impact and risk.\nContinuous learning: Proactive about developing technical, industry-specific and safety knowledge.
