Pastry Chef!\n\nPastry Chef Duties and Responsibilities:\nManages all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen.\nPrepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes.\nAble to produce all baked goods including but not limited to artisan breads and rolls, muffins, laminated Danish, laminated croissants and doughnuts etc.\nAble to develop, designs, or creates new ideas and items for Pastry Kitchen.\nCreate new and exciting desserts to renew hotels menus and engage the interest of customers\nEnsure excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings.\nDecorate pastries and desserts using different types of icings, toppings etc. and ensure the food presentation will be beautiful and exciting.\nCoordinates activities of pastry chefs and workers engaged in food preparation.\nSupervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.\nChecks the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.\nAssists in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays.\nMonitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget.\nCheck quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.\nMust possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with co-workers efficiently and effectively\nAble to recognize superior quality products, presentations and flavors.\nMaintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas.\nEncourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.\nServes as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.\nEnsure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards.\nEnsuring Culinary Standards and Responsibilities are Met for Pastry Team.\nThe ideal candidate:\nPossess 2 years of experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or 1 years experience as a Head Pastry Chef in a 4* or 5* hotel or fine dining restaurant\nHave strong communication and organisational skills: these are a must as this is a busy, dynamic role.\nBe flexible to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings and on occasion, early mornings.\nExcellent knowledge of the pastry and bakery section\nSpeak English or German fluently\nWhat our clients
