What You Will Do:

• Responsible for design, research, analysis, engineering documentation and process improvement for proposals, new product development and production support.
• Activity will be focused on metallic designs
• Perform thermal and structural analyses of metallic or composite designs utilizing ANSYS or other analysis methods, creating basic drawings, conducting or oversee testing, and assisting in the development and analysis of projects from concept to detail designs
• Perform engineering design, analysis, and testing based on customer, industry, standard processes, and internal specifications.
• Become familiar with all Design Engineering standards and procedures, development programs and platforms.
• Support programs with introduction of composite specific system analysis with developed or to be developed in-house software, ANSYS/Abaqus and potentially other publicly available software.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Structural and Stress Analysis preferred
• ANSYS experience preferred
• PLM Software(Team Center) experience preferred

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
