Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX.\nWhat You Will Do\nAs a Mechanical Design Engineer I at Pratt & Whitney, you will......\nProvide resolution of mechanical engineering problems of difficult and complex scope, seeking a balanced system solution, ensuring engineering excellence, all with oversight.\nGenerate development hardware design solutions that meet the objectives of the test engines and facilitate the delivery of the development hardware to the test engines on schedule.\nWork with Operations to address production issues and evaluate hardware nonconformances to facilitate the timely delivery of production hardware.\nProcess technically sound engineering changes within program schedule that meet performance metrics such as cost, weight, and part life.\nWork with our Customer Technical Support (CTS) team to respond to customer questions, review deteriorated hardware, and update engine maintenance manual limits.\nUtilize standard work and CORE/ACE tools.\nWhat You Will Learn\nCandidates hired will begin their first 2.5 years at Pratt & Whitney as part of the Engineering Development Program (EDP). This program consists of three rotations that are 12 months - 9 months - 9 months in duration and typically occur in three distinct disciplines within the hiring department. The intent of our EDP is to offer breadth & depth in various technical experiences through challenging positions available in our organizations. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
