Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.\nRaytheon Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Principal Radar Mode Software Engineer [Embedded / Radar]to be part of their product development teams for the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group.\nVisit Raytheon Landing Page: Raytheon El Segundo, CA Location\nWhat you will do:\nWork on complex technical problems and provide highly innovative solutions.\nEffectively contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration\nDevelop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities.\nUtilize expert level investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.\nWork effectively with team across multiple disciplines, internal and external\nEffectively contribute to program and customer meetings/reviews\nSupport the program leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution.\nPerform Technical leadership roles for multiple key tasks or line items on programs\nMentor multiple engineers on programs in areas of knowledge and expertise\nHelp to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality.\nSupport of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.\nContribute significantly to the successful completion of program milestones and customer deliverables\nWork Location: Onsite at our El Segundo, CA Campus\nMust be able to obtain \"special access programs\" (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment.\nQualifications you must have:\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.\nDevelopment experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related languages/tools in radar-development software is required.\nExperience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS\nExperience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.\nActive and transferable U.S. Government issuedSecret security clearanceis required prior to start date.
