Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.\nRaytheon has an immediate need for a Program Operations Manager (POM) for Naval Power onsite in Portsmouth, Rhode Island for the AQS-20 Program. This position will provide opportunities to grow their skills in operations management, technical operations, business communications, and leadership. This individual will be responsible for coordinating with the Manufacturing Value Streams, and other Functional Partners to ensure successful on time integration of the material and labor efforts necessary to support manufacturing and contract schedules.\nThis position involves direct support of manufacturing activities in our Portsmouth factory. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and experience necessary to perform technical, program and manufacturing leadership roles. Successful execution in this role will include driving the overall management and participation in several phases of program development from proposal of new scope, through capture, planning, execution, delivery and close-out.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPrimary interface across all operation value streams,\nLead Operations role for presenting reports to the Customer, and internal Program and/or Business leadership representing Operations performance\nOverall management and coordination of recurring and non-recurring manufacturing resources to support program requirements,\nLead Operations development or execution of Manufacturing plans through various Gate processes and supporting quarterly Estimate At Complete (EAC) and/or recurring cost performance reviews.\nManage the coordination and execution of program schedules with Global Supply Chain Management, Subcontracts, Engineering, Mission Assurance, and other functional areas.\nSupport Manufacturing Operations strategy development, communication and implementation.\nUtilize CORE/R6Sigma best practices to lead development, advocacy and implementation of cost reduction initiatives for both recurring efforts and new business opportunities.\nCoordinate Operations bids for new development and production proposals.\nDefine clear operational schedules, priorities & goals for each Manufacturing Value stream, through assessment of workload, and capacity/resources required to generate production plans, Make/where plans.\nAccountable for Operations execution of all program scope in support of cost, schedule, and quality performance through issue identification, problem solving and operations recovery to plan.\nInterface with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive excellent standards of service.\nLead for assessment and determination of scope and timing for implementation of engineering change orders to product.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nTypically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.\nPrevious experience working in Manufacturing Operations.\nQualifications We Prefer:\nUnderstanding of manufacturing tool sets and how to leverage information from material receipt through DD250 within a defense contracting organization.\nExperience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems, including but not limited to SAP, Kinaxis, PRISM/CMES.\nExperience managing Labor task execution with budget and schedule performance responsibility.\nPrevious leadership position in a fast paced technical or manufacturing environment that included multiple working organizations.\nExperience building cross-functional teams with results on cost reduction initiatives, manufacturing cycle time reduction, and removal of barriers to execution.\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
