With extensive capabilities, a comprehensive portfolio and broad expertise, we solve some of our customers’ toughest challenges and help meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global market.\nWe are currently seeking aSenior Electronics Systems Enginee r to join our team in Plymouth or Bristol, UK (Hybrid).\nCollins Aerospace was selected as a UK supplier with a demonstrated capability to develop and manufacture navigation-grade Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) for use in future complex weapons systems as part of the UK’s Weapons Sector Research Framework (WSRF).\nOur IMUs combine proprietary MEMS sensors, ASICs, FPGAs, embedded software and unique architectures, housed within bespoke mechanical fixtures designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions.\nThis is an opportunity to join a highly skilled electronics team working on the design and development of high-performance, world-class IMUs and MEMS sensor technologies.\nWhat You Will Do\nAs a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer, you will apply your expertise in mixed-signal electronic design and system-level integration to support the development of complex, high-performance products.\nYou will:\nDesign, develop and test analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronics across the full product lifecycle for new and legacy products and test equipment.\nSupport hardware integration testing, troubleshooting and problem solving.\nUse E-CAD tools for schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit/PCB simulation.\nWork closely with Systems, Software, Mechanical and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.\nWhat You Must Have\nA minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline.\nA strong theoretical understanding of analogue electronics.\nExperience integrating sensitive analogue circuitry with high-speed digital devices such as FPGAs, DSPs and microprocessors.\nExperience designing precision circuitry, including op-amps, DACs, ADCs and voltage references.\nAn understanding of control theory and open and closed-loop systems.\nExperience using E-CAD systems for schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit/PCB simulation.\nSkills & Experience We Value\nWe would also be interested in experience in one or more of the following areas:\nXpedition, HyperLynx, LTSpice/AMS or similar tools.\nVHDL/Verilog architectural design, coding and simulation, particularly with Xilinx or Microchip technologies, including SoC.\nEmbedded C/C++ for integration and problem solving.\nMEMS sensor technology.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\nFlexible working options.\nExcellent 2:1 matched pension contribution (up to 10%).\nPrivate health insurance and life assurance.\n25 days annual leave plus the ability to buy or sell up to 5 more.\nEarly finish on Fridays.\nCareer development, mentorship, and world-class training opportunities.\nAnd much more!\nDo you want to be a part of something bigger, with a team whose impact stretches across the world, and beyond?\nAt Collins Aerospace, our Mission Systems team helps civilian, military and government customers complete their most complex missions - whatever and wherever they may be.
