The incumbent is tasked to perform detailed review of staff’s work, provide coaching, and direct the team to meet deadlines and deliver required output.\nWhat Part Will You Play?\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerforms reporting and support functions\nApplies solid knowledge in accounting in the performance of the role\nHandles tasks in support of the month-end closing such as review of the journal entries related to AR adjustments based on supporting documents and calculations for supervisor or manager’s review.\nCompletes activities according to the closing calendar.\nUtilizes Oracle GL module in support of accounting and reporting needs.\nMaintain a good understanding on company’s operation and business rationale\nAssists in preparing monthly P&L analysis and Balance Sheet reconciliations (including bank reconciliation).\nCoordinates with other departments and colleagues (both in Philippines and in other countries) to obtain and validate information, verify transactions.\nEnsures that controls are in place to ensure validity and accuracy of accounting data.\nKeeps complete and orderly files of accounting records for audit trail and easy retrieval.\nReview accounts receivable tasks\nReview high volume of receivable transactions\nFollow SOPs and implements prescribed internal controls to ensure the reliability and quality of output\nPerforms applicable analysis in ensuring accuracy and completeness, detecting errors and irregularities, and whether or not transactions are in compliance with existing policies\nFacilitation on Completion of month-end closing activities and reports in support of US consolidation\nPerforms other relevant activities (manual and system / country-specific) as may be required from time to time\nPerforms General Ledger support functions\nHandles tasks in support of the month-end closing such as review of the journal entries related to AR adjustments based on supporting documents and calculations for supervisor or manager’s review.\nCompletes AR activities according to the closing calendar.\nUtilizes Oracle GL module in support of accounting and reporting needs.\nMaintain a good understanding on company’s operation and business rationale\nCoordinates with other departments and colleagues (both in Philippines and in other countries) to obtain and validate information, verify transactions.\nEnsures that controls are in place to ensure validity and accuracy of accounting data.\nKeeps complete and orderly files of accounting records for audit trail and easy retrieval.\nSupports Statutory/Regulatory Compliance for assigned entities\nStays on top of other regulatory deadlines and ensures that reports are prepared and submitted timely.\nAssists in the preparation of schedules and reconciliations as may be required by auditors\nGathers supporting documents to support the audit\nOthers\nKeeps self-updated with developments in business, and in local and international accounting.\nUpholds corporate values and company policies.\nMaintain a good understanding on company’s operation in entities of Australia/New Zealand.\nProactive to communicate with local team in Australia/New Zealand, maintain an ownership on the group entities, make critical judgement and discuss with manager timely for any issues\nQUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES\nCOMPETENCIES\nAbility to produce high quality output with minimal or zero corrections\nHighly organized and the ability to maintain detailed records\nStrong interpersonal and customer service skills\nAbility to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment\nTeam-player\nDemonstrates flexibility and adaptability when required by the situation\nSkeptical and keen to details\nExhibits confidence in the performance of his/her role\nDemonstrates initiative to improve one’s self and the department’s current processes\nShows focus and contributes towards the achievement of department’s goals and objectives \nGood attitude, able to work in a team to meet tight deadline and willing to take up additional tasks\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nGraduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from a reputable college / university\nMinimum of (5) years of combined work experience in accounts receivable, general accounting, and/or audit\nMust have supervisory experience or an experienced accountant with strong leadership potential\nSkilled in using any accounting software/application\nProficient with the use of Microsoft Office, Excel applications\nFluent in English -
