We’re looking for a Virtualization Engineer (entry to mid level role) to join our ever evolving IT team in Mexico (hybrid) and help shape the future of global commerce.\nWhat you’ll own \nInstalling and configuring virtualization software: Deploying and configuring VMware ESXi hypervisors, vCenter servers, and virtual machines, as well as managing virtual networking and storage resources.\nManaging virtual servers: Monitoring and managing virtual servers, including provisioning, configuring, and troubleshooting virtual machines to ensure optimal performance and reliability.\nImplementing virtualization security: Implementing security best practices for virtualized environments, such as access controls, encryption, and intrusion detection, to protect against cyber threats and ensure data confidentiality.\nPerforming system upgrades and patches: Applying software updates, patches, and upgrades to virtualization software, operating systems, and applications to maintain system stability and security.\nAutomation and scripting: Developing scripts and automation tools using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages to streamline routine tasks, automate processes, and improve operational efficiency.\nTroubleshooting and problem-solving: Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to virtualized infrastructure, network connectivity, performance bottlenecks, and system failures to minimize downtime and ensure system availability.\nCollaboration and communication: Collaborating with IT teams, system administrators, network engineers, and security specialists to ensure seamless integration of virtualized environments with other technologies and systems. Providing technical support and training to end users as needed. Participating in an on-call support rotation for escalations within the team as needed.\nMay require rotating 24x7 on-call support responsibility as well as weekend support.\nWhat you’ll bring\nA bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Practical experience in the role can be used in place of formal education. • Knowledge of multiple operating systems and related utilities and hardware • Knowledge of storage management, TCP/IP, network monitoring and tools and technical writing principles and practices • Effective analytical, problem solving, installation and maintenance skills • Ability to work independently as well as within a team • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, clients and public\nAdvanced level of English\nAbout the team\nOur inclusive and global teams win together every day.
