They will participate in network operations activities with primary emphasis on DevOps tasks and will work closely with all members of netops team to improve configuration efficiency and speed for large scale network environments across data centers and offices. \nYour responsibilities:\nDeploy, integrate, and support automation and scripting solutions to drive new capabilities, visibility, and efficiency, for Network and Firewall Appliances.\nBuild Ansible code for configuring, monitoring, and analyzing Network and Firewall appliances using but not limited to RESTFUL APIs.\nWrite and maintain python scripts using automation frameworks.\nDevelop troubleshooting and debugging code to identify problems.\nExplore different network operations activities and identify use-cases for automation.\nCreate meaningful reports and graphs from collected netflow, sflow, J-flow, flowd or IPFIX records.\nSetup logging and monitoring for network devices and create useful dashboards and graphs.\nParticipate in the creation of documentation including: Runbooks, how-to user guides & technical how-to support guides, and Method of Procedures (MoP).\nAbout you:\n2-5 years’ experience in a DevOps capacity with exposure to config automation and remote network management.\nAbility to write basic scripts using languages like Python or Bash for simple tasks.\nKnowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to render simple internal network web forms and templates.\nFamiliarity with standard out-of-the-box configuration management and templating tools.\nKnowledge of REST APIs and how to perform HTTPS requests.\nBasic experience using Git for pulling, committing, and pushing code snippets.\nBasic understanding of Web Frameworks (Flask) to build simple, lightweight web applications and REST endpoints for automation scripts.\nKnowledge of SQL and experience with lightweight databases (e.g., SQLite, PostgreSQL) to store device inventories or logs.\nUnderstanding of OSI model, TCP/IP.\nKnowledge and experience in using Linux systems.\nExperience with OpenSource software and/or service management tools and applications (OpenStack, OpenShift, Zabbix, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, etc.)\nWorking conditions: \nMust be available after hours and / or weekends for emergency related work, service impacting incident resolution, or maintenance that is required during maintenance windows (outside of regular business hours).\nWhat you can expect:\nAt Global Relay, there’s no ceiling to what you can achieve.
