The Senior Windows Administrator is responsible to design, manage, and support our Windows environments, with a focus on corporate services for Exchange, Active Directory, and desktop management (GPO, SCCM, MDT, MSI re-packaging).\nYour responsibilities:\nAdminister corporate Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange environments, act as a SME for other internal and client facing AD & Exchange deployments.\nDevelop, implement, and manage desktop management policies related to securing desktops, applying group policies, and deploying software.\nUpdate documentation, write new procedures, and detail Exchange and Active Directory configurations.\nDeliver timely and high quality incident resolution and post-incident analysis focusing on root cause, prevention, and knowledge transfer.\nDevelop and implement strategies for providing proactive support resulting in fewer incidents, increased availability, or accelerated deployments.\nRespond in a timely manner to Support and Operations cases related to Exchange, AD or other Windows Server issues.\nEnsure all Windows systems operate with a high service availability.\nEnsure that the corporate services adhere to our Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Programs.\nAbout you:\nMinimum 3-5 years of direct experience with Exchange and at least 10 years of overall experience in IT administration and advanced computer support.\nTechnology infrastructure design, implementation and management including Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, MDT, and SCCM.\nAbility to monitor, test and analyze system activities to ensure maximum performance, efficiency, and availability.\nAbility to analyze system usage and plan for growth or increases in system capacity.\nAbility to identify and resolve problems affecting systems performance, efficiency, and availability in a timely manner.\nAbility to assess the need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant).\nExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Exchange including experience with mailbox server failover and cluster management.\nExtensive knowledge of Windows server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, DFS-R, File and Print Services, and GPO validation, management, and implementation.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Exchange PowerShell commands needed to manage Exchange features, roles, mailboxes, performance and troubleshooting.\nComfortable with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project and Visio with knowledge of Office Outlook features, configuration and troubleshooting.\nExperience with troubleshooting & resolving complex technical problems, writes reports and creates documentation processes and procedures.\nDemonstrated ability to work both collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently in an effective and organized manner in a complex and challenging environment.\nComfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills in both verbal and written English.\nStrong organization skill and initiatives.\nResourcefulness in problem solving abilities.\nKnowledge of IP phone systems would be considered an asset.\nMicrosoft MCSA, A+, or MTA certification would be considered an asset.\nCompensation:\n\nGlobal Relay advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with British Columbia’s pay transparency laws. Individual pay rates are determined by evaluating factors such as expertise, skills, education, and professional background. \nThe range below reflects the expected annual base salary, which is only one element of our comprehensive total rewards package designed to reflect our company pay philosophy, culture and values.
