# Algo Development Engineering Manager

We are looking for an Algo Development Engineering Manager to lead a small team of Python and Java engineers. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining Django services, as well as Flink and Kafka streaming pipelines. You will drive technical direction, manage and mentor the team, review code, and help turn algorithm prototypes into reliable, production-ready services. Requirements: A degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Real engineering management experience. You've owned hiring, performance, and delivery for a team, and you can talk honestly about both growing engineers and managing people out. Depth in Python or Java, with working fluency in the other. This one isn't negotiable. You should be able to read a pull request, ask the right questions, and jump into the code yourself. Experience taking prototype or notebook work into a production system that you then had to run. Hands-on PostgreSQL scaling: query tuning, indexing, and schema design.
