In this role, you will support process integration and yield enhancement activities across advanced semiconductor technologies. Working closely with process, equipment, manufacturing, quality, and product engineering teams, you will analyze manufacturing data, identify yield-impacting issues, and contribute to continuous process improvements that drive product quality, reliability, and manufacturing excellence.\nYour Job\nSupport process integration activities across semiconductor wafer fabrication operations to ensure stable and repeatable manufacturing performance.\nMonitor product yield trends, analyze manufacturing data, and identify root causes of yield excursions and process variation.\nCollaborate with process, equipment, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams to resolve yield-limiting issues and implement corrective actions.\nPerform statistical data analysis using engineering tools to track process performance, yield metrics, and defect trends.\nInvestigate inline, electrical, and reliability data to identify opportunities for process optimization and yield improvement.\nSupport new technology introductions, process qualifications, and manufacturing ramp activities.\nParticipate in structured problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC, 8D, Fishbone Analysis, and FMEA.\nGenerate technical reports and present findings, recommendations, and improvement plans to engineering and management teams.\nAssist in developing process control strategies and monitoring systems to sustain manufacturing performance.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cycle time reduction, productivity, and cost optimization.\nOther Responsibilities\nAdhere to all GlobalFoundries Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), security, and compliance requirements.\nFollow established cleanroom protocols and semiconductor manufacturing procedures.\nSupport a culture of operational excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\nMaintain compliance with corporate policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in training programs and knowledge-sharing activities to enhance technical expertise and organizational capability.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n0-3 years of semiconductor manufacturing, wafer fabrication, process integration, yield engineering, process engineering, or related industry experience.\nUnderstanding of semiconductor device fabrication processes, including lithography, etch, deposition, CMP, diffusion, or metrology.\nExperience analyzing large datasets and applying statistical methods to engineering problems.\nFamiliarity with yield analysis, defectivity monitoring, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and process control methodologies.\nStrong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization/analysis tools.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a cross-functional, fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nInternship or industry experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication or advanced manufacturing.\nKnowledge of JMP, Minitab, Tableau, Spotfire, Python, SQL, or other data analytics tools.\nFamiliarity with semiconductor yield management systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES).\nExposure to Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Analysis (FA), and reliability testing methodologies.\nUnderstanding of statistical modeling and advanced data analysis techniques.\nExperience working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrated project management or continuous improvement experience.\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment\nAbility to work within a semiconductor fabrication cleanroom environment.\nMay require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to cleanroom gowning procedures.\nOccasional lifting, standing, walking, and movement within manufacturing areas may be required.\nFlexibility to support manufacturing operations and engineering activities as business needs dictate.\nGlobalFoundries Commitment to Diversity & Equal Opportunity\nGlobalFoundries is an equal opportunity employer, cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
