For more information, visit www.gf.com.\nSummary of Role:\nThis position is for a senior engineering leader who will be leading a team of bench characterization engineers supporting new product development. This role requires a candidate with people leadership skills coupled with hands-on technical skillset. Candidate will have equal amount of focus spent between people leadership skills and hands-on technical contribution. This role requires close co-ordination and collaboration with design teams, SW/FW teams, Product/Test engineering teams, PM teams, and also may require engagement with external customer teams, to deliver product characterization results that support project goals.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nLead silicon bring-up, validation, and characterization activities for complex SoCs.\nManage and develop a team of validation engineers and lab technicians.\nDefine validation plans and drive execution across functionality, performance, power, and reliability.\nLead debug and root-cause analysis of silicon issues in collaboration with Design, Product Engineering, DFT, and Test Engineering teams.\nOversee characterization of analog, mixed-signal, and RF subsystems and IPs across digital, analog, and RF product lines.\nCode bench test plans bench characterization board/socket hardware design, including compliance to parasitics requirements, stack-up, grounding, shielding, power integrity, and component placement.\nDevelop and deploy automated validation and data analysis solutions using Python, MATLAB, or equivalent data-analytics tools.\nOwn lab infrastructure, equipment planning, calibration, safety, and operational excellence.\nDrive correlation between simulation, bench results, and ATE production test data.\nReview characterization data, correlate findings to system-level parameters, and ensure reports are ready for stakeholder review.\nSupport qualification, customer engagements, and production release activities.\nOther Responsibilities:\nCommunicate team progress, risks, and priorities to engineering leadership.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with 10yrs+ of work experience in semiconductor characterization, bench measurements, or related engineering work.\nExperience leading, mentoring, or managing engineers, or demonstrated readiness to grow into people leadership.\nExperience using benchtop equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, signal generators, AWGs, SMUs, pattern generators, VNAs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.\nProgramming experience in developing test code and automation using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or equivalent.\nStrong debugging, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.\nStrong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to represent the team to senior stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with RF/mmWave, radar, wireless, networking, or high-speed communication products.\nProject management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong planning & organizational skills.\nExpected Salary Range\n$171,000.00 - $296,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at  let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
