For more information, visit www.gf.com.\nIntroduction: The Corporate EHS & Sustainability Environmental Engineer provides technical and regulatory support for manufacturing operations, sustainability initiatives and controls across the company to ensure proactive programs, compliance, and technical excellence.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nDrive and advance resource conservation (water, energy, waste, chemical usage) projects across GF manufacturing sites internationally.\nDevelop and support resource conservation programs across global manufacturing sites.\nTracking active resource conservation projects, summarizing and reporting status and results to support internal, customer, and regulatory reporting and disclosures.\nEnsure appropriate auditable global project tracking methodology and accounting.\nSummarize and communicate new regulatory or customer requirements and their impacts and provide technical support to meet or exceed those requirements.\n Conduct compliance assessments and guidance for existing operations.\nProvide technical expertise to GF locations as needed, leveraging experience and expertise.\nAnticipate, recognize and properly evaluate EHS concerns. Help identify and implement best-practice environmental and employee health and safety controls.\nParticipate in standard-setting initiatives, seminars, industry associations, etc.\nOther Responsibilities:\nMaintain knowledge of and utilize professional advancements in EHS disciplines.\nReview and advise to ensure that semiconductor manufacturing processes, practices, and programs are protective of human health and the environment.\nTrain and guide less experienced staff.\nSupport other EHS/sustainability efforts as needed.\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.\nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation - Bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering or related field.\nExperience - 6-8 years of experience with EHS programs in a manufacturing environment. \nExperience with resource conservation projects.\nExperience with material and environmental accounting principles.\nTravel - Minimal, up to 10%\nFlexibility to overlap with U.S. eastern time zone mornings\nFluency in English Language - written & verbal\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong planning and organizational skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nEducation-Master’s in Environmental Engineering or related field.\nExperience supporting corporate sustainability, climate, or ESG programs.\nExperience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.\nExperience working internationally, including interpreting and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. \nProject management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.\nGlobalFoundries is committed to equal employment opportunity and maintaining a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
