For more information, visit www.gf.com.\nSummary of Role:\nGlobalFoundries is seeking a motivated and technically curious entry-level Facilities Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, reliability, and improvement of critical facility systems that enable semiconductor manufacturing and construction project management. This position is designed for an experienced entry level engineer interested in developing technical expertise in industrial utility systems, industrial manufacturing operations, and construction project management.\nThis Facilities Engineer will work closely with operations, maintenance, manufacturing, and construction project teams to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of facilities systems which may include ultrapure water systems, chemical distribution systems, building mechanical systems, HVAC, central utility plant equipment, wastewater treatment systems, and other manufacturing utilities.\nThis role provides hands-on exposure to troubleshooting, process monitoring, capital projects, system optimization, engineering analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives while developing technical and professional skills within a world-class semiconductor manufacturing environment.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nSupport the safe operation and reliability of facility utility systems and infrastructure.\nAssist with troubleshooting equipment and system performance issues using engineering fundamentals and data analysis.\nMonitor system performance, operating parameters, capacity utilization, and equipment reliability.\nAnalyze process and equipment data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential reliability concerns.\nParticipate in root cause investigations and corrective action development.\nSupport continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, reliability, sustainability, and cost reduction.\nAssist in the development and execution of engineering studies, experiments, and system optimization projects.\nPartner with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance and standardize work practices.\nSupport equipment upgrades, capital projects, equipment installations, and commissioning activities.\nAssist with creating, updating, and maintaining engineering documentation, procedures, equipment specifications, and design drawings.\nLearn and apply reliability, process engineering, and project management principles within a manufacturing environment.\nSupport development of preventive maintenance and operational strategies to improve system performance.\nParticipate in system capacity planning and long-range infrastructure planning activities.\nUtilize engineering software, data systems, and visualization tools to evaluate system performance.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, facilities operations, Environmental, Health and Safety, vendors, and contractors.\nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.\nParticipate in engineering reviews, project meetings, and training activities.\nComplete technical and professional development assignments.\nOther duties as assigned by manager or supervisor. \nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation - Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited engineering program, including Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline.\nExperience - 1 to 2 years of engineering experience and/or construction project management, including internships, co-op programs, research projects, or manufacturing experience.\nFluency in English Language - both written and verbal\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to learn complex technical systems and processes.\nSelf-motivated with a desire to develop technical expertise.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to support continuous manufacturing operations during occasional off-hours as required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nInternship, co-op, laboratory, research, or manufacturing experience.\nExposure to industrial utility systems, process equipment, HVAC, water treatment, chemical processes, or manufacturing operations.\nExperience using data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, PI, or similar software.\nFamiliarity with process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.\nBasic knowledge of project management practices.\nInterest in semiconductor manufacturing, facilities engineering, and construction project management.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.\nAbility to lift up to 30 pounds.\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators when necessary.\nAbility to access facility equipment areas, mechanical spaces, and utility system installations.\nExpected Salary Range\n$58,400.00 -
