The role provides technical leadership in system optimization, reliability improvement, project execution, safety compliance, and operational excellence while ensuring uninterrupted supply of process gases and chemicals to production.Candidates without prior work experience are welcome to apply. Comprehensive training and development will be provided.\nEssential Responsibilities include:\n1. Gas & Chemical System Operations\nManage daily operation of bulk gas, specialty gas, and chemical distribution systems. \nEnsure continuous and reliable delivery of processed gases and chemicals to modules. \nCoordinate with operations, maintenance, and production teams to resolve system issues. \nMonitor system performance, consumption trends, and operating parameters. \n2. Reliability & Continuous Improvement\nDrive initiatives to improve system reliability, availability, and maintainability. \nAnalyze equipment failures and process deviations using RCA methodologies. \nImplement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). \nLead FMEA, risk reduction, and system optimization projects. \n3. Safety, Environmental & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with EHS regulations, company standards, and industry requirements. \nLead or support HAZOP, risk assessments, PHA, and safety reviews. \nManage hazardous gas and chemical systems in accordance with local regulatory requirements. \nPromote a strong safety culture and drive zero incident performance. \n4. Project Engineering\nLead facility expansion, retrofit, and improvement projects from concept through commissioning. \nPrepare engineering proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and technical specifications. \nReview P&IDs, equipment layouts, and design packages. \nCoordinate testing & commissioning (T&C) activities with vendors and stakeholders. \n5. Vendor & Contractor Management\nManage TCGM contractors and service providers. \nMonitor contractor performance, KPI achievement, and safety compliance. \nSupport contract negotiations, budget planning, and cost optimization initiatives. \nReview technical proposals and vendor deliverables. \n6. Technical Support & Troubleshooting\nProvide engineering support during abnormal events and equipment failures. \nLead investigation teams and prepare technical reports. \nSupport fab process requirements related to gas and chemical systems. \nPresent investigation findings and improvement plans to management. \n7. Documentation & Training\nDevelop SOPs, PM strategies, engineering standards, and operating procedures. \nMaintain engineering documentation and system drawings. \nTrain operation and maintenance personnel on new systems and procedures. \nEnsure knowledge transfer and operational readiness for new facilities. \nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.\nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation - Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related engineering discipline\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior related internship or co-op experience\nDemonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.\nProject management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.\nStrong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.\nGlobalFoundries is an equal opportunity employer, cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
