This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, analyze system performance, and implement automation solutions that enhance factory productivity and operational efficiency.\nCandidates without prior work experience are welcome to apply. Comprehensive training and development will be provided.\nEssential Responsibilities include:\nMonitor and analyze AMHS and MCS system performance, availability trends, and operational metrics to ensure reliable wafer transportation across the manufacturing facility.\nSupport troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for automation equipment, software, and control system issues to minimize operational impact.\nDrive and support continuous improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and automation enhancements to improve system reliability, efficiency, and productivity.\nCollaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Facilities, Information Technology, and equipment suppliers to support safe and effective factory automation operations.\nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.\nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data and identify improvement opportunities.\nEffective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior related internship or co-op experience\nDemonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.\nProject management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.\nStrong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.\nKnowledge of industrial automation, robotics, material handling systems, control systems, manufacturing execution systems (MES), or semiconductor manufacturing processes.\nExperience with data analysis tools, programming, scripting, or automation-related projects developed through academic coursework, internships, or personal projects.\nGlobalFoundries is an equal opportunity employer, cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
