As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives.\nSummary of Role:\nAs an Industrial Engineering Intern, you’ll collaborate with other members of the Industrial Engineering department, Advanced Module Engineering, Finance, Facilities, Manufacturing/Operations Engineering & Product Integration teams to support Capital Expenses, assist with fab capacity data and ultimately improve factory output and reduce cycle time. Clear communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.\nEssential Responsibilities include:\nUnderstand Capacity Planning Systems and methods to calculate fab capacity/cycle time \nUnderstand Capital processes and support Capital execution/tracking \nCreate detailed documentation of business processes, IE specifications, and operating procedures \nSupport various departments in improving factory output using advanced analytics \nParticipate in and/or lead process improvement teams and other small project technical teams \nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. \nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation - At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhDin Industrial Engineering or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship \nMust have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing \nLanguage Fluency - English (Written & Verbal) \nTravel - Up to 10% \nAbility to work 40 hours per week during the internship \nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior related internship or co-op experience \nDemonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc. \nStrong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making. \nProject management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills \nStrong planning & organizational skills \nKnowledge of Wafer Fab Production \nKnowledge of Capacity Planning \nLean six sigma certification \n#InternshipProgramUS\nExpected Salary Range\n$20.00 - $40.00\nExpected Salary Range\n$0.00 - $0.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at  let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
