For more information, visit www.gf.com.\nSummary of Role:\nGlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking an experienced professional to support the 300mm semiconductor technology development integration team. The core responsibilities of this team involve ownership of process integration of Silicon Photonic devices from development, customer engagement to production. The ideal candidate can demonstrate a technical understanding of Silicon Photonics and an understanding of a balanced scorecard approach to develop, sustain, and improve the technologies with quality, cost, and delivery all considered.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nLeading Silicon photonics I/O development & qualification.\nCollaborating with device, process module, & packaging team in driving I/O solutions.\nDriving technology cost reduction & process convergence.\nOther Responsibilities:\n· Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.\nRequired Qualifications:\nPHD's/Master Degree with 10+ years of working experience in relevant field. Degree must be in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline.\nExperience in Si photonics\nExcellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written\nPreferred Qualifications:\nResults oriented and focused on quality of work\nExcellent structured problem solving and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles\nAbility to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, clients, as well as internal and external partners.\nStrong presentation and technical writing skills\nSelf-starter and highly motivated to succeed in a fast-paced and challenging professional environment\nStrong background in photonics and CMOS device physics, semiconductor processing, and device characterization.\nExpected Salary Range\n$118,000.00 - $210,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at  let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
