For more information, visit www.gf.com.\nSummary of Role: The Quantum Superconducting Integration Engineer (PMTS) is a senior technical contributor within the Quantum Product Development organization responsible for development and integration of semiconductor technologies that enable scalable quantum computing systems. This role provides technical leadership across multiple engineering disciplines including semiconductor device integration, BEOL interconnect technology, photonics integration, advanced packaging, cryogenic interfaces, and quantum hardware process development. The successful candidate will drive integration architecture decisions, establish experimental roadmaps, and lead execution of development programs that transition emerging quantum concepts into manufacturable technologies.\nThe position serves as a key technical interface across device engineering, process development, manufacturing, modeling, design enablement, packaging, reliability, and external partners.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nTechnical Leadership\nLead development of semiconductor integration architectures supporting quantum computing platforms.\nDefine integration strategies spanning front-end devices, BEOL routing, photonic interfaces, advanced packaging, interconnect technologies, and quantum-specific process modules.\nDevelop and maintain technology roadmaps supporting long-term scalability, manufacturability, and qualification of quantum hardware.\nIdentify critical technology gaps and drive closure plans through internal development and external collaborations.\nIntegration Development\nLead definition and execution of integrated process flows, module interactions, process windows, and technology learning cycles.\nDrive integration optimization using DOE methodologies, statistical analysis, and yield learning techniques.\nEstablish integration checkpoints, performance metrics, and technical success criteria.\nEvaluate technology tradeoffs involving performance, manufacturability, reliability, yield, cost, and scalability.\nCross-Functional Execution\nCollaborate closely with device engineering, process module teams, manufacturing, reliability, modeling, design enablement, and packaging organizations.\nTranslate quantum system requirements into actionable semiconductor technology requirements and development plans.\nSupport customer and partner engagements through technical presentations, roadmap discussions, and program reviews.\nContribute to externally funded programs, strategic partnerships, and joint development agreements.\nData Analysis and Problem Solving\nAnalyze electrical, physical, reliability, and metrology data to identify integration challenges and improvement opportunities.\nLead root-cause investigations and corrective action planning for integration-related issues.\nDevelop predictive models and learning frameworks that accelerate technology maturation.\nMentorship and Technical Influence\nMentor junior engineers and MTS-level contributors.\nProvide technical guidance across integration disciplines.\nInfluence organizational technical direction through expert knowledge and demonstrated execution.\nContribute to invention disclosures, publications, patents, and technology strategy planning.\nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.\nOther duties as assigned by manager / supervisor\nRequired Qualifications:\nAssociate's degree, BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline.\n15+ years of semiconductor process integration, technology development, or advanced manufacturing experience.\nDemonstrated expertise in semiconductor integration, process development, or technology commercialization.\nExperience leading cross-functional technical programs or major development initiatives.\nStrong analytical, experimental design, and problem-solving capabilities.\nAbility to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to engineering and leadership audiences.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with advanced semiconductor integration, BEOL technologies, photonics integration, advanced packaging, or heterogeneous integration.\nKnowledge of quantum computing hardware architectures, ion trapping technologies, photonic systems, or cryogenic electronics.\nExperience supporting advanced R&D programs funded through government, commercial, or academic partnerships.\nFamiliarity with MES systems and foundry processing. \nExperience transitioning emerging technologies from research into development or manufacturing environments.\nExpected Salary Range\n$143,000.00 - $247,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at  let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
