For more information, visit www.gf.com.\nIntroduction\nWe are looking for a visionary Principal Agentic AI Architect / AI Innovation Lead to join our Digital Manufacturing AI team to define and lead the next generation of Agentic AI capabilities for semiconductor manufacturing.\nThis role is for a technical leader who can connect AI strategy, advanced architecture, manufacturing domain expertise and business value.\nYou will define the architecture and technology roadmap for AI agents that can evolve from individual assistants into an enterprise-scale ecosystem of intelligent manufacturing agents.\nYour Job:\nDefine the enterprise architecture and technology roadmap for Agentic AI in manufacturing.\nEstablish the technical vision for autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents across manufacturing domains.\nArchitect scalable agent platforms supporting: Multi-agent collaboration, Agent orchestration, Enterprise knowledge, Tool and API ecosystems, Long-term memory, Planning and reasoning\nDefine standards for agent development, evaluation, deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management.\nEstablish architecture patterns that allow AI agents to scale across multiple fabs, manufacturing functions and use cases.\nLead exploration of emerging technologies including advanced reasoning models, multimodal AI, agentic workflows and AI-to-AI collaboration.\nPartner with senior manufacturing, engineering, IT, data and business leaders to identify high-impact opportunities.\nCreate technical strategies that connect AI capabilities with measurable manufacturing outcomes.\nMentor and grow a high-performing team of AI engineers and architects.\nEstablish an internal community of practice and reusable AI-agent platforms.\nDrive partnerships with technology providers, research institutions and the broader AI ecosystem.\nProvide technical leadership for the transition from AI assistants → AI agents → autonomous manufacturing workflows.\nRequired Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Software Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.\n7+ years of experience in AI/ML, software engineering, architecture or related technology fields.\nHigh python fluency in writing clean code and handling complex data pipelines.\nExperience in building AI-Ready data layers by establishing model objects, relationships and rules. \nProficiency in semantic web standards like RDF and OWL\nExperience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS and related services.\nExperience developing and consuming REST APIs.\nDeep understanding of Generative AI, LLMs and agentic architectures.\nFamiliarity with MCP, tool calling, or workflow automation concepts.\nStrong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.\nDemonstrated experience designing and deploying enterprise-scale AI systems.\nStrong software architecture and distributed-systems expertise.\nProven ability to translate emerging technology into production business solutions.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with AI agents, MCP servers, LangGraph, CrewAI, Redpanda ADP, Semantic Kernel, Pydantic AI, or similar technologies.\nDeep experience with multi-agent systems and agent orchestration.\nExperience in semiconductor, manufacturing, industrial automation or other complex engineering environments.\nExperience integrating with enterprise APIs (ServiceNow, SAP, Workday).\nGlobalFoundries is an equal opportunity employer, cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
