For more information, visit www.gf.com.\nIntroduction:\nThe Principal Engineer for Power Architecture leads and mentors engineers in designing and delivering SoC power architectures. This role defines custom integrated circuit (IC) architectures across system design, software, and implementation, translating them into detailed execution plans.\nYour Job\nLead cross-functional collaboration with system hardware, system software, RTL design, DFT, physical design, foundry technology, and IP design teams to define robust SoC power architectures.\nDevelop and evaluate SoC power-management hierarchies to recommend the optimal architecture.\nAssess switchable and multi-voltage domains, back- and forward-body biasing, and dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) to recommend effective power-management and reduction techniques.\nDefine execution plans, robust methodologies, and clear documentation to guide implementation teams.\nChampion the development, deployment, support, and maintenance of state-of-the-art, scalable processes and methodologies using AI/ML and EDA technologies.\nMentor and lead a high-performing engineering team.\nOther Responsibilities\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\n15+ years of semiconductor industry experience, including 12+ years in technical leadership and 3+ years in people management.\nDeep expertise in SoC power-management architecture.\nProven experience with early-stage (“shift-left”) power assessment strategies for SoCs.\nBroad understanding of system-, software-, and silicon-level power architecture solutions.\nStrong knowledge of power-optimization techniques for sub-nanometer foundry technologies.\nExpertise in industry-standard power-intent specifications, such as Unified Power Format (UPF).\nExceptional leadership, project-management, and communication skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex power and timing challenges.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with SoC design integration and implementation methodologies.\nProven track record of delivering complex programs against ambitious schedules.\nInspirational leader with a passion for mentoring talent and building high-performing teams at scale.\nCustomer-focused, proactive problem solver who drives effective solutions.\nCommitment to continuous learning and championing the adoption of industry best practices.\nGlobalFoundries is an equal opportunity employer, cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
