For more information, visit www.gf.com.\nSummary of Role:\nThis Equipment Engineering position is a 5/2 schedule (Monday - Friday daytime) supporting Cleans equipment on site at Fab 9 in Essex, VT in a cleanroom environment. Occasional nights and weekend support may be required, as needed. The Fab 9 Cleans module is seeking a motivated Principal Equipment Engineer to become part of our 200mm Fabricator team in Essex Junction, VT. The candidate will be responsible for ownership of Cleans manufacturing equipment, supporting maintenance and driving tool availability and cost improvements. Individual hired needs to be comfortable wearing any/all required personal protective equipment and working with wet chemicals. This role will be fully onsite.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nOwn and maintain Cleans equipment: Expectation to spend majority of time on the cleanroom floor troubleshooting equipment downs and assisting maintenance with more challenging recoveries\nMentor other equipment engineers\nBe a technical leader in the area: Be open-minded and innovative\nMaintain a consistent, positive attitude\nHelp expand maintenance team skills and document procedures\nDrive tool installs / relocations as needed\nAssist with tool sourcing / fleet upgrades as needed\nLead structured problem solving to identify root cause equipment failures and drive tool availability improvements\nProvide Tool Status and coordinate planned maintenance as needed for capacity\nInterface with other fab modules and other groups as needed\nWork with the third-party vendors / suppliers to enable continued tool support\nWork with part planners to maintain and add spare parts for tools as needed\nMaintain inventory for critical parts to ensure sufficient quantities on hand\nSetup repair paths as needed to ensure continued part support and reduce support costs\nCreate requisitions for parts and service\nLead and support cost savings activities\nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs\nOher duties as assigned by manager / supervisor\nRequired Qualifications:\nExperience / Education: BS + 4-5 years of experienceOR MS + 2-4 years relevant experience OR PhD + 1-2 years relevant experience\nFluent in English language - both written and verbal\nUp to 10% travel may be required\nPhysical Requirements - Ability to wear any / all personal protective equipment as required upon entry into the Fab, including cleanroom suit, standing long periods of time\nPrior experience working in a semiconductor cleanroom environment\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nStrong planning & organizational skills\nPreferred Qualifications:\nKnowledge of semiconductor/silicon processing\nHands-on experience working with electrical and mechanical components\nAbility to read electrical schematics\nAbility to effectively lead tool troubleshooting\nAbility to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal and external partner\nProject management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity\nExpected Salary Range\n$85,000.00 - $146,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at  let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
