GF provides advanced semiconductor manufacturing capabilities across multiple technology platforms and operates a global manufacturing footprint spanning the United States, Europe, and Asia.\nSummary of Role:\nThe Staff R&D Finance Analyst is an experienced individual contributor responsible for supporting financial planning, business analysis, reporting, and operational initiatives across GlobalFoundries' R&D organization.\nThis role partners closely with R&D leadership, Finance, HR, and cross-functional business teams to provide financial insights, operational analysis, decision support, and process improvement recommendations that enable effective resource management and execution against organizational priorities.\nThe position plays a key role in driving financial transparency, improving business processes, developing analytics and reporting capabilities, and supporting strategic initiatives across the R&D organization.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nFinancial Planning & Analysis\nSupport annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, long-range planning activities, and financial reporting processes.\nAnalyze financial and operational performance against plan, identify key trends, and communicate insights to management.\nDevelop financial models, business cases, and analytical frameworks to support decision-making.\nPartner with business leaders to evaluate opportunities, risks, and resource requirements.\nAssist in preparation of management reviews, executive presentations, and business updates. Business Operations & Analytics\nSupport operational planning, business reviews, and performance tracking activities.\nConduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to support organizational priorities and strategic initiatives.\nDevelop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and analytical tools that improve business visibility and decision-making.\nProvide actionable insights and recommendations to improve operational and financial performance. Reporting & Process Improvement\nPrepare recurring management reports and business performance analyses.\nSupport development of scalable reporting and planning processes.\nIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, automation, and data quality.\nParticipate in initiatives focused on enhancing forecasting, reporting, analytics, and operational effectiveness.\nSupport implementation of new tools, processes, and best practices. Cross-Functional Partnership\nCollaborate with Finance, R&D, HR, Operations, Business Units, and Corporate functions to support business objectives.\nTranslate complex financial and operational data into clear and actionable insights.\nSupport business reviews, ad hoc analyses, and strategic projects.\nBuild trusted relationships across stakeholder groups and contribute to informed decision-making. Financial Governance & Operational Support\nSupport financial reporting, month-end close activities, and performance reviews as required.\nAssist with planning assumptions, financial controls, and compliance with company policies and standards.\nEnsure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of assigned deliverables.\nContribute to organizational initiatives that strengthen operational discipline and business performance.\nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.\n3-5 years of experience in finance, FP&A, business operations, analytics, consulting, or related business functions.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.\nExperience supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis activities.\nAdvanced Excel and data analysis skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present insights to diverse audiences.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting technology, engineering, manufacturing, R&D, or operations organizations.\nSemiconductor industry experience is a plus.\nExperience with planning, reporting, and visualization tools such as Anaplan, Power BI, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.\nExperience developing dashboards, management reporting, and business performance metrics.\nExperience participating in process improvement, automation, or business transformation initiatives. Individual Contributor Statement This is an individual contributor role with no direct people management responsibilities.
