For more information, visit www.gf.com.\nSummary of Role:\nGlobalFoundries in Essex, VT is seeking a first shift (M-F, 7am-330pm) Chemical System Maintenance, Deionized Water, and Operations Principal Technician to work in the facilities organization, reporting to Dustin Nuhfer. For this 200mm Semiconductor manufacturing facility, the equipment includes chemical supply systems, chemical blending units, reverse osmosis, ion exchange resin, filtration, and other manufacturing support systems. This position is fully on site and requires some rotating holiday / weekend coverage. The ideal candidate will possess some demonstrated leadership /supervisory experience.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nOversee daily operations by leading teams across 4 shifts in safe, compliant, and efficient chemical handling while providing guidance and mentoring\nEnsure proper system operation by performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks\nRespond to and troubleshoot system alarms and controls\nPerform mechanical field work on filters, resin vessels, UV lights, pumps, valves, tanks, tubing, piping, and controls\nLead and coordinate improvement projects to increase safety, continuous operations, and organizational capability\nWork in a team environment with a focus on customer satisfaction\nProvide technical leadership to operate, maintain, and enhance various types of distribution equipment utilized in the Manufacturing areas.\nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs\nOther duties as assigned by manager\nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation - associate degree in engineering, technology, or related field\nExperience - Minimum 7-8 years in related or mechanical field\nSchedule flexibility as weekend coverage will be required\nFluency in English Language - both written & verbal \nPhysical Capacity Demands - ability to lift 30 lbs and wear a respirator\nSome demonstrated leadership / supervisory experience\nExcellent written and verbal communication, and collaboration across various teams\nWear a cleanroom suit and personal protective equipment for cleanroom environment, as needed\nAbility to climb up / down ladders and fit into confined spaces for maintenance purposes\nFluency in Microsoft 365 software programs and in basic computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, CoPilot, etc.)\nPreferred Qualifications:\nEducation - 4 Year bachelor's degree in technical or related field\n8+ years' experience, and or education, in facilities systems such as water treatment, water purification, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, chilled water and glycol chilled water, compressed air, chemical distribution, and control systems\nProject management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity\nStrong planning & organizational skills\nExpected Salary Range\n$58,400.00 - $100,800.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at  let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
