As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives.\nSummary of Role:\nGLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 in Malta, New York is seeking a talented and motivated Test Engineering Intern to support the Reliability Engineering team in advanced technology reliability characterization. The intern will contribute to wafer-level and package-level reliability testing, test automation, equipment operation, and data delivery while collaborating with FEOL, BEOL, and Product Reliability engineering teams.\nEssential Responsibilities include:\nSupport development and maintenance of test programs and test capabilities for new technology reliability assessments using C#, Python, C++, and related tools.\nAssist with wafer-level and package-level reliability testing, including HCI, BTI, TDDB, and EM.\nExecute electrical measurements using semi-automatic and fully automatic probers and support accurate, on-time data collection.\nAnalyze test results, troubleshoot measurement or equipment issues, and document findings for engineering review.\nSupport standardization, automation, equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and laboratory organization.\nCollaborate with FEOL, BEOL, Product Reliability, and laboratory engineering teams to support technology development and qualification activities.\nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.\nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation - At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.\nMust have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.\nLanguage Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)\nAbility to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior related internship or co-op experience\nDemonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.\nStrong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.\nProject management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nStrong planning & organizational skills\nCoursework or laboratory experience in semiconductor devices, circuits, reliability, or electrical characterization.\nProgramming experience with Python, C#, C++, Visual Basic, or a related language; familiarity with probers or electrical test equipment is a plus.\nExpected Salary Range\n$20.00 - $40.00\nExpected Salary Range\n$0.00 - $0.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at  let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
