This role works directly with physical design lead not only execution of sub-designs in ambitious schedule but also continuously develops reusable flows & methodologies.\nYour Job\nAs a senior engineer in physical Design, you will own backend implementation flow or execution of flow for sub-designs. This not only includes placement, clock-tree synthesis, routing but also timing closure with crosstalk and full physical verification.\nYou will work with domain experts and get clarity on PPA priorities to chase on an ambitious schedule\nCollaboration is central to this role- working with your team leads on priorities and predictable schedule\nYou will also contribute significantly in developing next-generation EDA tools, flows, and methodologies.\nOther Responsibilities\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.\n3+ years of industry experience exclusively in Physical design - RTL2GDS\nGood hands-on experience, analysis & debug skills:\nCongestion, Timing analysis and Physical verification.\nStrong proficiency with one of the EDA tools from Synopsys, Cadence, or Siemens.\nClear articulation & communication skills.\nStrong analytical mindset\nPreferred Qualifications\nExposure to AMS design & integration\nStrong in any scripting language for flow/methodology development including Physical verification\nExposure to design abstraction & modeling \nGlobalFoundries is an equal opportunity employer, cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
