For more information, visit www.gf.com.\nSummary of Role:\nGlobalFoundries is seeking an energetic and highly motivated early career engineer for a position as an Electrical Characterization Engineer in our state-of-the-art 300mm wafer fab in Malta, NY. The candidate will own wafer electrical test disposition of high-volume manufacturing silicon as well as inline electrical and optical process control. He will work closely with our New Product Introduction Engineering team ramping up our Silicon Photonics platform. The ideal candidate should have an excellent foundation in electrical engineering and statistics as well as a passion to learn and problem solve.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nElectrical characterization of semiconductor devices and health-of-line electrical test structures (HOL) to sustain volume production, disposition of production materials, and electrical test\n\nSupport general and urgent faboperation issues\n\nReview ET (electrical test), OT (optical test), Health ofLine (HOL)andinline statistical process control (SPC), analyze sources of variation, improve line control, and transistor variability.\n\nWork with and communicate with customers on electrical and optical targeting, trendsand Cpk/ variability.\n\nElectrical analysis of controlled process changes for device, defectivityand yield improvements.\n\nSupport Engineering teams on manufacturing ramp, cost reductionand risk analysis\n\nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Circuit Design, Electrical Engineeringor related technical field.\n\nExcellent data analysis and problem solvingskills.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.\n\nWorking knowledge in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments.\n\nAffinity for quick learning\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMasters in Electrical Engineeringor related field\n\nPrior related internship or work experience\n\nProject management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute onsolutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.\n\nUnderstanding and knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE)\n\nKnowledge of semiconductor processing, process integrationand Silicon Photonics.\n\nExpected Salary Range\n$69,000.00 - $120,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at  let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
