For more information, visit www.gf.com.\nSummary of Role\nMIPS is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Application Engineer (CAE) to help customers successfully deploy and adopt Physical AI solutions built on our portfolio of RISC-V processors, AI accelerators, software toolchains, SDKs, and edge AI platforms.\nAs a trusted technical advisor, you will work directly with customers to accelerate onboarding, enable solution deployment, optimize AI workloads, resolve technical challenges, and drive successful production adoption. You will serve as a key link between customers and internal Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Program Management teams to ensure customers achieve measurable business and technical outcomes.\nEssential Responsibilities\nCustomer Success & Technical Leadership\nServe as the primary technical advisor for customer engagements, building trusted relationships and guiding customers through onboarding, solution enablement, software integration, deployment, and production ramp activities while accelerating adoption of MIPS technologies, toolchains, and platforms.\nDrive successful customer outcomes through proactive technical leadership, capturing customer requirements, feature requests, and product enhancement opportunities while advocating for customer needs across Product Management and Engineering.\nTechnical Support, Optimization & Deployment\nInvestigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex customer-reported technical issues by coordinating cross-functional escalations, driving root-cause analysis, communicating resolution plans, and developing reusable knowledge and best practices.\nSupport deployment of customer AI models and applications on MIPS platforms, including optimization, profiling, benchmarking, performance analysis, and validation of deployment readiness, while recommending software, hardware, and configuration improvements.\nTraining & Technical Enablement\nDevelop and deliver technical training, workshops, demonstrations, and customer enablement activities covering development tools, SDKs, runtimes, simulators, and deployment workflows.\nCreate technical collateral, application notes, deployment guides, benchmarking reports, and best-practice recommendations that improve customer productivity, accelerate adoption, and demonstrate customer value.\nOperational Excellence & Customer Health\nParticipate in customer health reviews, support reviews, and technical status discussions while monitoring adoption progress, technical risks, escalations, and recurring support trends.\nContribute to metrics, dashboards, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer success, operational effectiveness, and Application Engineering execution.\nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's (or better) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related technical discipline.\n10+ years of experience in Application Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success Engineering, Technical Support Engineering, or a related customer-facing role.\nExperience supporting semiconductor IP, embedded processors, AI accelerators, software platforms, SDKs, or development toolchains.\nStrong debugging and problem-solving skills across software, hardware, and system-level environments.\nExperience working directly with customers to resolve complex technical issues.\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.\nProfessional proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with the ability to conduct technical discussions, customer meetings, presentations, and written communications in both languages.\nAbility to manage multiple technical engagements in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with semiconductor IP and RTL-based SoC integration, including reading and debugging RTL, integrating processor/IP blocks and subsystems, running synthesis, analyzing simulation and build results, troubleshooting interface and integration issues, and working with verification environments, testbenches, timing constraints, and EDA tools.\nExperience with AI inference, neural networks, model optimization, AI deployment, or performance benchmarking.\nFamiliarity with RISC-V architectures, embedded systems, processors, accelerators, compilers, or runtime software.\nExperience with Python, C/C++, Linux, scripting, and software debugging tools.\nKnowledge of robotics, edge AI, industrial automation, computer vision, automotive, or intelligent embedded systems.\nExperience working with globally distributed teams and customers.\nGlobalFoundries is an equal opportunity employer, cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
