You will interface closely with the engineers from the manufacturing modules in Dresden/Singapore as well as with the partners of other international locations. After initial training, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to grow responsibility for projects and processes of strategic importance within the GlobalFoundries Manufacturing cluster.\nThis position is open to experienced engineers as well as to entry level candidates, including University or College Masters.\nYour Job:\nBuild and support various full-stack applications running in our Manufacturing locations.\nResponsibility for analysis, design, and implementation of automation software solutions in a highly automated manufacturing environment.\nMaintenance and continuous improvement of existing factory automation software solutions.\nProvide Second Level support for the applications owned by the team.\nContinuously learn leading technologies and trends in the software industry.\nMentor other team-members on areas of competency.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBS with 5-6 years of experience or MS with 3-4 years of experience or PhD with 1-2 years of experience.\nProgramming skills in a high-level language (Java, C #).\nGood knowledge of SQL and relational databases.\nBasic knowledge of a scripting language (TCL, Perl, Python).\nFluent in speaking and writing in English and work with pleasure in international teams.\nAnalytical thinking, high affinity for working in complex systems.\nEnthusiasm for the combination of software development with factory automation\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProficient in Java 8+ or latest version programming as per the user story and hands-on with the technical skills necessary for delivering the module.\nJava/J2EE, REST, SOAP, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Hibernate/JPA\nKnowledge on front end framework like ReactJS, typescript, Angular\nAware of different techniques and tools available within DevOps.
