The data warehouse solutions are used in the GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fabs in Dresden, in the US and in Singapore, and the Data Solutions Group is responsible to conceptualize and provide timely, high-quality solutions that address analysis needs of engineers in a leading-edge semiconductor foundry\nYour Job:\nProfessional with strong technical solution design, builds, and maintains data infrastructure and systems responsible for managing and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and implementing data management strategies. Working closely with the Data Product Design team, translating the design requirement into a viable technical data product.\nResponsibilities include:\nLeading projects: Working on complex, cross-functional projects, and acting as a subject matter expert\n\nBuilding data Solution: Creating secure, stable, and scalable data pipelines, managing analytics platforms\n\nDesign Standards and Framework: Provides appropriate consulting, interfacing, standards and framework for data pipelines,\n\nAdvising Junior Data Engineers: Providing guidance to the fellow data engineers, operations support and implementation partners and making recommendations\n\nEvaluating access control: Evaluating and reporting on access control processes to determine data asset security\n\nDeveloping documentation: Creating technical documentation that supports best practices\n\nRequired Qualification:\nExperience in preparing Data warehouse design artifacts based on given requirements - Defining Standards, Building Frameworks, and Source-Target Mapping\n\nStrong analytical and data modeling skills including logical and physical schema design\n\nDeep understanding of database technology and data use within analytic platforms\n\nStrong programming skills with SQL and PySpark,\n\nExperience withAWS cloud Services including EMR, Redshift/Postgres\n\nExperience in other Cloud / ETL technologies including Databricks, Snowflakes, Ab Initio\n\nGood Understanding of other programming languages Python, Java\n\nProven experience with large, complex database projects in environments producing high-volume data\n\nDemonstrated Problem solving skills; familiarity with various root cause analysis methods; experience in documenting identified problems and determined resolutions.\n\nExperience in analyzing Performance Issues analysis and Tuning\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in information technology, Electrical Engineering or similar relevant fields.\n\nProven experience (10 years minimum) with Datawarehouse design, build performance tuning and optimization\n\nVery good knowledge of data warehouse architecture approaches and trends, and high interest to apply and further develop that knowledge, including understanding of Dimensional Modelling and ERD design approaches,\n\nExperience in developing streaming applications Spark Streaming, Flink, Storm, etc.\n\nExcellent conceptual abilities compared with very good technical documentation skills, e.g. ability to understand and document complex data flows as part of business / production processes,\n\nFamiliarity with SDLC concepts and processes\n\nAdditional Skill:\nExperience in semiconductor / High Tech Manufacturing industry\n\nExperience with reporting data solutions and business intelligence tools\n\nKnowledge of statistical data analysis and data mining\n\nExperience in test management, test case definition and test processes\n\nGlobalFoundries is an equal opportunity employer, cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
