For more information, visit www.gf.com.\nSummary of Role:\nGlobalFoundries has a Sr Process Engineer opportunity at the Essex Junction, VT site to join the Front End of Line Reactive Ion Etch (RIE) module. The engineer will own, sustain, and improve RIE processes. This role is fully onsite on a Monday - Friday daytime schedule.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nCollaborate daily with maintenance technicians, process technicians, and equipment engineers to meet production demands\nDesign and execute experiments to perform root cause understanding\nDrive continuous improvement efforts in support of throughput improvement, cost reduction, and yield learning\nLead process qualifications for new tools and processes and implement process control plans\nSupport cross functional problem solving, involving facilities, maintenance and equipment engineering\nCreate, execute and improve standard work\nPartner with GlobalFoundries' integration, equipment, and quality engineering teams to support the development of new technologies\nCommunicate and collaborate with co-workers within and outside the department\nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs\nPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager\nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation: BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline\nExperience: Minimum 2-3 years of Semiconductor experience or relevant technical manufacturing experience\nFluency in English Language - both written & verbal\n10% travel may be required\nStrong organizational skills along with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs\nDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments\nAbility to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal and external partners\nUnderstanding of semiconductor manufacturing, equipment and clean room facilities\nUnderstanding and knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE)\nPreferred Qualifications:\n4+ years’ experience as a semiconductor process engineer\nKnowledge of semiconductor/silicon processing\nMaster's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline\nProject leadership experience\nExpected Salary Range\n$69,000.00 - $120,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at  let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
