As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives. \nSummary of Role:\nGlobalFoundries’ Corporate Finance & Accounting Team is seeking an eager intern to gain hands-on experience in technical accounting and related finance functions. This role will support accounting research, financial reporting, month-end close, internal controls, audit activities, and the evaluation of contract accounting implications under GAAP. \nEssential Responsibilities include:\nPrepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the accounting month-end close. \nAssist in the preparation of the company’s financial statements. \nAnalyze potential accounting transactions and perform research as needed. \nReview accounting processes within the company and assist with internal control documentation. \nAssist in audits while building relationships with other departments. \nAssist in the review of contracts and evaluate the accounting implications in accordance with GAAP. \nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. \nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation - At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship. \nMust have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing. \nLanguage Fluency - English (Written & Verbal) \nAbility to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior related internship or co-op experience \nDemonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc. \nStrong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making. \nProject management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills \nStrong planning & organizational skills \nStrong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and ability to prioritize. \nCurious and inquisitive mindset with the ability to challenge and improve processes. \n#InternshipProgramUS\nExpected Salary Range\n$20.00 - $40.00\nExpected Salary Range\n$0.00 - $0.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at  let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
