For more information, visit www.gf.com.\nSummary of Role: GlobalFoundries in Essex, VT is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician Intern to perform Planned and Corrective Maintenance on a variety of building systems supporting general office HVAC and specialized laboratory & manufacturing systems. This Technician will work a 5/2 schedule (M-F, 7AM-330PM), working rotational weekend / holiday times as needed. This role will be fully on site at our 200mm Semiconductor manufacturing facility in Essex Junction, VT.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nTroubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, and Control Systems \nPerform Mechanical System maintenance and repairs \nEnsure proper system operations \nPerform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks. \nProvide line support to customers in manufacturing, offices, or labs, and assistance with equipment installs / upgrade projects \nWork Areas include but are not limited to: Building Maintenance, Gas Services, High Voltage/Electrical \nEnsure high emphasis on safety, equipment reliability, and environmental rules and regulations. \nWork in a team environment with a focus on customer satisfaction. \nOther Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and associated programs. \nOther tasks as assigned by manager. \nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation - High School Degree / equivalent. \nExperience - minimum 1-3 years experience with HVAC and building systems. \nAble to pay attention to details and maintain equipment efficiently without impacting system operation. \nBe familiar with Computers and have good communication skills. \nTravel: 0% travel required \nLanguage Fluency: English \nPhysical Capacity Demands: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. \nSchedule flexibility is important as occasional weekend coverage will be required. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nAssociates degree in a HVAC or electronics/mechanical field \n3-5 years of Mechanical / Electrical Systems operations and maintenance \nDemonstrated troubleshooting skills / technical aptitude \nIndustrial / Commercial System experience \nUnderstanding of system design parameters, safety / environmental shutdown scenarios, and electronic control of equipment \nProject management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills. \nStrong planning & organizational skills. \nExpected Salary Range\n$0.00 - $0.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at  let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
