Platform SMEs have already designed remediation plans and started putting them into effect. The DevOps engineer we’re looking for will help speed up delivery across key areas: logging hygiene, network security for key data stores, VPC egress control, Cognito-based access management and a rebuild of the platform’s deployment pipelines.\n\nRequirements\n\nStrong hands-on AWS DevOps experience in large-scale production environments\n\nAWS deployment tooling, including AWS CodeBuild\n\nAWS CloudWatch Logs: retention and encryption policies\n\nAWS networking: VPC, subnets, Security Groups, egress control\n\nAmazon OpenSearch, AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS\n\nExperience with AWS Cognito and RBAC\n\nPython knowledge would be extremely advantageous\n\nProven delivery of risk reduction initiatives\n\nExperience making complex network changes with zero downtime\n\nAble to work autonomously, manage stakeholders, and take ownership of a workstream\n\nGood written and verbal English communication skills.\n\nJob responsibilities\n\nQuickly align with and carry out agreed remediation plans alongside platform SMEs\n\nDrive measurable reduction of operational, security and delivery risk\n\nRebuild the platform’s deployment pipelines\n\nImplement log retention and encryption policies in CloudWatch\n\nRestrict subnet-level access to internal OpenSearch indexes\n\nReconfigure VPC and subnet setup to control Lambda and ECS egress, with zero downtime\n\nImplement roles and access for the customer agent portal using AWS Cognito\n\nUpdate a large number of APIs safely and on time\n\nWork as part of an engineering squad\n\nTake ownership of a workstream after SME handover and drive it to
