following:\n\nEngineering Leadership and Technical Strategy: \nOwn and drive technical vision and engineering strategy across multiple product and platform teams.\nPartner with Architects and Tech Leads to define scalable, cloud-native architectures and ensure adherence to design principles.\nLead critical system design discussions, trade-off decisions, and technology evaluations.\nEnsure strong focus on non-functional requirements: scalability, performance, reliability, and security.\nPromote adoption of modern engineering practices (microservices, event-driven systems, containerization, etc. ).\n\nTeam Leadership and Organizational Development: \nLead and scale an engineering organization of ~100 members across multiple teams.\nHire, mentor, and develop Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and senior engineers.\nBuild a culture of ownership, innovation, and engineering excellence.\nDrive career growth frameworks, performance management, and capability building.\nEnable cross-functional collaboration between engineering, product, and design teams.\n\nDelivery and Execution Governance: \nEnsure predictable and high-quality delivery across multiple concurrent programs.\nEstablish lightweight but effective execution frameworks (Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Scaled Agile).\nTrack and improve key delivery metrics: cycle time, throughput, release frequency, and defect rates.\nManage risks, dependencies, and escalations across teams.\nBalance speed vs. quality vs. technical debt in delivery decisions.\n\nEngineering Excellence and Quality: \nDrive best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and release engineering.\nEnsure strong code quality, review standards, and development discipline.\nChampion DevOps culture and SRE principles for high system reliability.\nLead initiatives for technical debt reduction and platform modernization.\n\nStakeholder and Product Collaboration: \nPartner with Product Management to translate business goals into technical execution strategies.\nInfluence roadmap prioritization with engineering insights and constraints.\nProvide clear, data-driven communication to senior leadership on engineering and delivery health.\n\nRequirements: \n12+ years in software engineering, with at least 5+ years in engineering leadership roles.\nProven experience managing large engineering teams (50-100+).\nStrong track record of building and scaling distributed systems or high-traffic platforms.\nExperience in gaming, real-time systems, or high-performance applications is a strong plus.\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n\nTechnical Expertise: \nDeep understanding of: Distributed systems and microservices architecture, Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices\nHigh-availability and low-latency systems.\nAbility to review architecture, challenge designs, and guide technical decisions.\nHands-on background preferred (coding/design earlier in career).\n\nLeadership and Communication: \nStrong ability to lead through influence and technical credibility.\nExcellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.\nProven ability to drive alignment across Engineering, Product, and Business teams.\nStrong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities in ambiguous
