We are expanding our Bay Area operations and are seeking a Supervisor who reflects this standard.\nThe Role\nThe Armed Supervisor oversees daily security operations across multiple Bay Area client sites and leads a team of armed and unarmed officers. This role serves as the on-the-ground point of contact for client managers and demands strong leadership, sharp situational awareness, and a hands-on approach to maintaining safety and security.\nWhat stays constant is the standard: disciplined, accountable, and visibly professional security operations that protect our clients and represent the GS3 brand at every post.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and supervise armed and unarmed security personnel across multiple Bay Area client sites.\nConduct routine credential checks (Guard Cards, Exposed Firearm Permits, and any applicable less-than-lethal certifications) to verify staff readiness and compliance.\nEngage directly with client and store managers to assess security needs, gather feedback, and implement operational improvements.\nEnsure all security posts are properly staffed and step in to cover posts during call-offs, shortages, or emergencies.\nRespond promptly to security incidents and coordinate with law enforcement when required.\nManage scheduling, timekeeping, and workforce coverage using Rippling, ensuring shifts are properly assigned with adequate coverage.\nReview and document all security incidents, ensuring reports meet GS3 and legal standards.\nConduct weekly and monthly performance reviews to assess team performance and identify training needs.\nImplement and train officers on Striven software to enhance reporting accuracy and operational workflows.\nUphold strict confidentiality and client privacy expectations at all times.\n\nRequired Licensing & Certifications\nActive California BSIS Security Guard Registration (Guard Card) \nActive California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit \nValid California driver’s license \nCandidates are expected to obtain their CCW permit within their first 6 to 12 months as part of growing into the role.\n\nRequired Experience & Skills\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in security supervision, guard operations, law enforcement, military, or comparable operational leadership roles.\nDemonstrated track record supervising armed and/or unarmed guard personnel across multiple posts.\nAbility to pass a background check and drug screening.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure. \nExcellent communication skills, professionalism, and discretion.\nWillingness to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rotation.\nAbility to support assignments across the greater Bay Area.\n\nNice to Have\nCalifornia BSIS Baton Permit \nOC Pepper Spray training certificate (per California Penal Code Section 22835) \nTaser or electronic control device training certification \n\nPreferred Qualifications\nDe-escalation and use-of-force training beyond BSIS minimums \nPrior experience supervising security teams in retail, corporate, or multi-site environments \nExperience as a liaison with client and store managers (e.g., national retail accounts) \nWorking knowledge of Rippling and Striven, or comparable timekeeping and reporting platforms \nCurrent CPR, First Aid, and AED certification \nEstablished relationships with Bay Area law enforcement or corporate security teams \nSchedule & Structure\nOn-Site Leadership (4 Days per Week)\nSupervise security personnel across multiple client locations, ensuring professionalism and adherence to GS3 protocols \nConduct credential and post inspections in person \nAct as a liaison with client and store managers, gathering feedback and adjusting security strategies accordingly \nStep in to cover posts as needed to maintain full coverage \nRemote Duties (1 Day per Week)\nManage and optimize schedules and timekeeping in Rippling \nReview and document security incidents to ensure reports meet GS3 and legal standards \nConduct virtual or phone check-ins with client and store managers to address security concerns \nTrain and onboard officers on Striven software and reporting workflows \nMeetings & Performance Reviews\nWeekly Incident & Training Review: meet every Tuesday with the Operations Manager to address training needs and review incidents \nMonthly Performance Review: on the last Tuesday of each month, meet with the Operations Manager and Director of Operations to assess team performance and operational improvements \nBenefits\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase supervisor rate of $30.00 per hour;
