We are expanding our Bay Area operations and are seeking Unarmed Security Guards who reflect this standard.\nThe Role\nThe Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for protecting people, property, and assets at assigned Bay Area client sites. Officers maintain a visible presence, monitor activity, control access, respond to incidents, and provide a consistent, professional point of contact for tenants, employees, and visitors.\nWhat stays constant is the standard: alert, accountable, and visibly professional security operations that protect our clients and represent the GS3 brand at every post.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintain a visible, professional security presence at the assigned client site throughout the shift. \nConduct foot patrols of interior and exterior areas, identifying and reporting safety hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations. \nControl access at entry points by verifying credentials, signing in visitors, and following site specific access procedures. \nMonitor surveillance equipment, alarms, and communication systems, and respond appropriately to alerts. \nRespond to incidents calmly and according to post orders, including medical situations, disturbances, and emergencies, and escalate to supervisors and emergency services as needed. \nDocument activity, observations, and incidents accurately in daily activity reports and incident reports. \nProvide courteous customer service to tenants, employees, vendors, and visitors, representing GS3 and the client at all times. \nFollow all GS3 policies, client post orders, and applicable California laws and regulations.\nRequired Qualifications\nActive California Guard Card (BSIS): Required at time of application. Candidates without a current Guard Card will not be considered. \nMinimum 18 years of age. \nHigh school diploma or equivalent. \nLegally authorized to work in the United States. \nAbility to pass a background check and drug screening. \nReliable transportation and the ability to commute to assigned Bay Area sites. \n\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior security, law enforcement, or military experience. \nCustomer service experience in a professional or corporate environment. \nCPR, AED, and First Aid certification.\nPhysical and Schedule Requirements\nAbility to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. \nAbility to climb stairs and respond quickly to incidents across the site. \nAvailability for varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned. \nProfessional appearance and adherence to GS3 uniform and grooming standards. \nBenefits\nWhat We Offer\nStarting at $25.00 per hour, based on site and experience.\nConsistent scheduling at established Bay Area client sites. \nPaid sick leave in accordance with California law. \nOpportunities for advancement into lead, supervisor, and specialty roles. \nTraining and professional development supported by an experienced operations team. \nA workplace culture grounded in professionalism, accountability, and respect.\nHow to Apply\nQualified candidates are invited to apply through our Workable careers page.
